No prior compounding experience required! You must hold a current CA Pharmacy Technician license but all other training will be provided.\nIn addition to our competitive rates and full traditional benefits package, we will reimburse pharmacy tech license renewals, offer flexible schedules (five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts), and haveno nights or weekend schedules.\nThe Pharmacy Technician will work under the direction of a Pharmacist. You must have good communication skills to inform management of anything critical. You need to be flexible to adjust to daily workflow demands and be a positive reinforcement for the team in the clean room. Due to the critical nature of many common pharmacy duties, the Pharmacy Technician must enjoy performing precise work, where details can be a matter of health. This position requires the ability to complete tasks accurately every time.\nResponsibilities:\nPreparation and compounding of sterile products\nMaintaining the pharmacy clean room to USP 797 and USP 800 requirements\nPerforms area clearance and verifies batch supplies and enters data in the computer system\nDocumentation of IV admixture and clean room sterility testing\nProperly use all equipment in the lab that is necessary to make the compound.\nAssembles, inspects and verifies compounding components.\nCalibration and proper documentation of scales, electronic meters, etc.\nFollow all safety and USP guidelines for preparation of compounding I.V. solutions\nComplete order entry and refills under the supervision of the Pharmacist in Charge\nComplete appropriate documentation such as labels, log sheets, and reports in a timely manner\nAssist with inventory management and storage\nRequirements\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\nMust hold valid and current CA Pharmacy Technician license\nAbility to stand for long periods of time while working under a vertical or horizontal hood\nMust be capable of wearing all protective wear as required by the facility SOPs.
