This position requires being a project resource for the Platform Team and Information Services projects. The Engineer position will be assisting and interacting with many customers requiring good communication, customer service and problem resolution skills. This role provides consulting services to Information Services teams and/or customers regarding technologies and the application of specific technology standards. The Engineer position assists Platform staff and other Information Services Professionals. Jobs in this family are responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, installing, and/or deploying technologies including systems, networks, data\narchitectures, capacity planning, performance management, security, configuration management, and disaster recovery. In addition, a Platform Systems Engineer contributes to the establishment, development, and promotion of standard architectures, as well as hardware and software components that are used in the data center, cloud and user environments.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related field and 2 years of direct IT experience; or\n\nAssociate's degree and 4 years of direct IT experience; or\n\nHigh school diploma/equivalent and 6 years of direct IT experience.\n\nCertifications/Licensure:\nAcquired one or more of the below Information Technology certifications is required, or must obtain within six (6) months of employment -\nMicrosoft: MCSE, MCITP, MCP, MCDST or MCTS\nMicrosoft Azure: Administrator, Solutions Architect, Virtual Desktop\nAWS: SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect\nGoogle: Cloud Engineer, Cloud Architect\nCitrix: CCA-V, CCP-V or CCE-V\nVMware: VCA, VCP or VCAP\nIGEL: Certified Professional or Engineer\nCompTIA: A+, Server+, Network+ or Cloud+\nAbout Us:\nCook Children’s is an equal opportunity employer.
