The selected candidate must be available for daytime training and, once trained, to work nights (6pm-6am) including weekends and holidays if scheduled.\nThe position will report to the Polymer Operations Group Leader.\nJob Summary:\n Operate multiple production lines from a control room using a DCS to adjust rate/mode, operate remote equipment, trend process conditions, and make corrections to the process. \nMake batches of product using powder and liquid ingredients, following a specific recipe\nOperate valves, pumps, troubleshoot equipment, and complete field rounds \nOversee the sampling and continuous release of product\nUses troubleshooting skills to solve problems, while seeking best knowledge to ensure safety and compliance.\nLockout/Tag out and Safe Work Permit writing \nQualifications (Required):\n1+ years of control room experience\nOr; 2+ year machine operator experience\nOr; Associates Degree or higher in a technical field (IE. Science, Engineering, Manufacturing)\nExperience using Microsoft Office\nAbility to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the operating area, including but not limited to safety glasses, protective footwear, hearing protection. Must remain clean-shaven to wear a half-face or full-face respirator with supplied air.\nPass a physical abilities test\nAbility to:Lift/Carry up to 10 pounds frequently and Lift/Carry up to 50 pounds occasionally\nPush/Pull up to 20 pounds frequently\nClimb Stairs\nFrequently Bend/Stoop, reach above and below shoulder level, and occasionally climb ladders\nOccasionally work on or with moving machinery\nAbility to work overtime \n\nQualifications (Preferred):\nExperience working in a manufacturing environment\n3+ Years of Control Room Experience\nExperience working with manufacturing equipment, DCS, pumps, manual and automatic valves, heat exchangers, and process flows\nStrong observation and Critical Thinking Skills\nDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate with verbal and written communications\nWe’re an equal opportunity employer.
