To be successful in this challenging manufacturing role, an individual must be a strong team player, demonstrate initiative, and prioritize safety, quality, and compliance.\nThis full-time position is eligible for the following benefits:\nCompetitive market hourly wages; starting salary $25.00/hr., $27.78/hr. after training\nShift Differentials of $1.00 for night shifts\nOvertime hours built into two-week schedule, plus additional overtime opportunities\nPotential for bonuses based on performance\nComprehensive Benefits offerings including Medical, Dental, Vision,\n401k Plan - 3% Company contribution PLUS dollar for dollar match up to 6% employee contribution.\nPaid Vacation - up to 2 weeks to start, 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 2 years\nTen paid holidays\nEducational Assistance\nOpportunities for career advancement\nA Day in the Life Typically Includes:\n12-hour shifts, availability to work either a rotating shift or straight night shift.\nCommitment to a high standard of Environmental, Health and Safety practices\nActive participation in improvement initiatives around productivity and quality\nBeing open and active to learning and growing your awareness of the company’s business philosophy\nCompleting tasks with minimal supervision\nTeamwork, collaboration and adaptability to changing work environment and business needs\nManaging the operation of spinning machines and associated equipment\nRemoving full packages of yarn from spinning machines\nProviding support to the area for machine checks, start-up and shut down of equipment, checking quality of yarn, product release, and disposition\nAdjusting/repairing/changing essential machine components\nWeighing and tying yarn\nTransporting full buggies of product to packing area and empty buggies back to spinning area\nBasic Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nWilling and able to work 12-hour shifts (rotating) which includes weekends, holidays and overtime as necessary\nWilling and able to work in a manufacturing plant setting\nAbility to wear personal protective equipment including being fit for a respirator (which requires being clean shaven to ensure respirator seal)\nPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:\nAbility to work a machine paced continuous process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week\nMust pass a physical abilities test\nThe ability to:\nsit, stand (up to 5 hours), walk (up to 4 hours), bend/stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, balance and reach at shoulder level and below shoulder level\nwork in elevated places\nclimb stairs\nwork indoors\nwork in a noisy environment\nfrequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds\nfrequently push/pull up to 100 pounds\nfrequently carry up to 10 pounds and occasionally carry up to 20 pounds\nSee very fine thread lines, and gauge depth perception\nAs a principled-based organization, The LYCRA Company is committed to a fair, respectful, and equitable workplace that embraces diversity and reflects the communities in which it operates.
