Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for future sponsorship (i.e., H1B, STEM OPT extensions, TN, etc.)\nThis position requires full-time onsite work (5 days per week) in Victor, NY and is not eligible for relocation assistance\nJob Summary:\nThe primary responsibilities for this position entail supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information of CooperVision and its subsidiaries’ business results by performing tasks including, but not limited to preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations, data upload for consolidated reporting, investigation of variance analyses, execution of controls, and other tasks as assigned. This role will also require cross-functional finance collaboration and the ability to partner with external professionals. Candidates must be detail oriented, highly organized, and collaborative.\n Perform monthly financial close requirements which include journal entries, account reconciliations, recording of intercompany transactions, investigation of variance analyses, and data upload for consolidated reporting.\nUse independent judgment as to whether account balances are reasonable and examine accounting documents to ascertain that transactions are properly supported. Initiate corrective action or recommend solutions as appropriate. Prepare routine and non-routine reports for leadership, sales, and various other departments.\nDrives timely and accurate financial reporting throughout the organization.\nWork to ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies and procedures.\nContribute to the success of broader initiatives by supporting ad-hoc reporting and presentations, as directed.\nCompile, review, verify and analyze large volumes of data and demonstrate knowledge and consideration of relevant financial statement assertions.\nBe an active business partner and collaborate with colleagues’ cross-functionally and with external professionals on various work streams and projects to support business processes and strategies. \nTravel Requirements:\nNone\n Experience:\n3+ years in an accounting/finance role\nExperience with ERP systems, with a concentration in Oracle helpful\nEducation:\nBachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is required\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nAn organized and proficient individual with the ability to multi-task in a collaborative environment\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and external professionals at all levels\nSignificant exposure to monthly close/reporting processes\nDemonstrate strong process/internal controls, analytical, and problem-solving skills\nHigh level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel\nAbility to apply knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)\nKnowledge/experience with Oracle (eBS & HFM) a plus\nWork Environment:\nProlonged sitting in front of a computer\nTypical office environment\nMay need to work holidays, occasional evenings, or weekends to maintain an expected performance level.\nFor U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $ 60,551 and $80,735 per year and may include cost of living adjustments.The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future.This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.\nWe are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, or veteran status.
