The role is responsible for ensuring that the Operations systems and their interface to corporate business systems is fit for purpose and meets the changing needs of Ops IT infrastructure.\n Essential Functions & Accountabilities\nQuickly understands the business issues and data challenges of the organization and its customers. \nIdentifies effective solutions to operational issues - transaction processing - business information etc.\nDocuments, edits and reviews requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solutions. \nDevelops functional specifications and system design specifications for new systems, new interfaces, new processes, and new requirements.\nEvaluates local and global system development proposals and provide analysis and recommendations to local management on likely impacts.\nProvide expertise and problem resolution to the functional departments when issues extend outside the knowledge of the functional department Key Users\nResearch, communicate and demonstrate “best practice” opportunities for the local/regional organization, allowing key decision makers and local/regional managers the opportunity to leverage “best practice” as a strategic and competitive advantage for the organization. \nManages Operational system deployments.\nAssists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules. \nCommunicates and applies project standards. \nConsistently delivers high-quality services to the packaging systems user community. \nPlan and lead testing, implementation, training, support, and documentation activities for local/global projects.\nAssist developers - internal and external - through provision of functional specifications and technical walk through.\nProvide reporting to local management on Project progress and issues.\nResolve technical issues.\nRequest and specify modifications.\nLeads testing efforts. \nEnsures issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner. \nWorks with the users to identify required changes.\nCommunicates needed changes to internal and supplier development teams.\nManage the standard CooperSurgical global release cycle, including analysis, design, test, implementation, support, and documentation.\nFacilitate communication, cooperation, and knowledge sharing with the end user community across the regional area and with the other local/regional Business Analysts to ensure a global system.\nAble to capably use available system tools (Business Objects/Power BI, SQL, Microsoft D365 reporting tools) to gather and prepare data for reports and analytical tasks.\nDesigns or prepares reports using approved system tools.\nUses prepared data to perform analysis of system behavior and respond to ad-hoc reporting requests.\nSupport End User documentation of end-to-end processes flows, business scenarios, Work Instructions, and SOPs\nGuide End Users through critical test cases and process variations in the system\nLead preparation of demonstrations and system walk-throughs for new releases, change requests, and optimization phase design and build.\nSupport testing efforts, including business process testing.\nSupport functional design and configuration.\nSupport Hypercare for global D365 F&O implementations, including office hours support for SuperUsers.\nSupport change impact analyses of new releases and change requests to enable accurate, timely communication to business stakeholders on the change to come.\nWhere possible, support delivery of D365 F&O Training for global End Users using various formats (classroom, VILT, etc.) Support preparation of training exercises, knowledge checks, and supporting data for training programs\nSupport content development, including training collateral and reference materials.\n\nResponsibilities for Internal Candidates Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nCommunication:\nAble to lead team and user group meetings. \nDelivers informative, well-organized presentations. \nAbility to understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.\nEffectively communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand format.\nTechnical Understanding:\nProven experience in the areas of application programming, database, and system design. \nExperience and knowledge of Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures. \nExperience and knowledge of how Operations systems, WMS, WCS, TMS, and ERP systems interface with each other.\nProblem Solving:\nIdentifies critical issues with ease by utilizing both IT knowledge and packaging process knowledge resulting in effective solutions.\nPushes creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing systems and infrastructure.\nLeadership:\nGenerates enthusiasm among team members. \nProactively seeks opportunities to serve in leadership roles. \nChallenges others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model. \nManages and leads the process of innovative change.\nTeamwork:\nPeople Skills - Dealing with different personalities and needs.\nFacilitates effective team interaction. \nAcknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions.\nGlobal Packaging User Group Management:\nDevelops relationships with the user community that fosters trust and the ability to work in partnership. \nCommunicates effectively with users to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project/global packaging management.\nProject Management:\nNegotiating and managing scarce project resources\nPrioritizing work to meet deadlines.\nAble construct accurate timelines and produce sound estimates of level of effort.\nWork Environment:\nThis Post-Holder’s working environment will be split between an office and warehouse / factory building. \nThere is an acceptable level of noise generated from Manufacturing and Distribution machinery. \nSome areas of operation will require personal protection to be worn (High Viz. and safety footwear) - provided by the company.\nTemperatures in the warehouse fluctuate due to seasonal variations.\n Experience:\nDetailed user knowledge and experience of manufacturing and logistics processes and systems in several major functional areas.\nExperience working directly in at least major operational area - Planning, Supply-Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution, or other production environment.\n7 years of experience in a similar role\nEssential IT Experience:\nMust have extensive proven experience in operations/ logistics IT including WMS, WCS, and Interfaces to ERP systems and automation.Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O experience required, specifically SCM and AWM. \nMaterial Handling automation systems experience preferred. \n\nMust be familiar with remote data capture technology, automation control systems.\nPreferred experience of Microsoft D365 including its architecture, configuration, and input /output requirements.\nFamiliarity with machine control software. \nHigh level of IT literacy -
