The role will focus on developing current-state and target-state application landscapes, defining application and integration standards, and ensuring application designs align with approved Enterprise Architecture. The Application Architect will work closely with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Security, Data, Infrastructure, and development teams to support application modernization, rationalization, integration, and transformation initiatives.\nYOU WILL\nDefine andmaintainthe Application Architecture and application landscape.\n\nDevelop andmaintaincurrent-state and target-state application architectures\n\nDefineapplicationarchitecture principles, standards, and guidelines.\n\nDesign application components and define their relationships and dependencies.\n\nDefine andmaintainintegration and API architecture.\n\nAssess application dependencies, impacts, and technology risks.\n\nIdentifygaps between current-state and target-state application architecture.\n\nEnsure application designscomply withapproved Enterprise Architecture standards.\n\nReview and approve application architecture and solution designs.\n\nSupportapplicationmodernization, rationalization, and transformation initiatives.\n\nEnsure application architecture supports business capabilities and requirements.\n\nCollaborate with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Security, Data, Infrastructure, and development teams.\n\nMaintain theapplicationrepository, architecture models, and related documentation.\n\nMonitor compliance with approved application architecture standards andprinciples..\n\nRequirements\nTO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU NEED\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, ora relatedfield.\n\n7+ years of experience in Application Architecture, Solution Architecture, Software Architecture, or related roles.\n\nExperience in banking or financial services is preferred.\n\nExperience working in a SAMA-regulated environment is an advantage.\n\nStrong experience in application architectureand applicationlandscape design.\n\nStrong understanding of API, integration, and distributed application architectures.\n\nExperience withapplicationmodernization, rationalization, and transformation.\n\nGood understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles and frameworks.\n\nExperience with architecture governance, design reviews, and technology standards.\n\nStrong understanding of application dependencies, interfaces, and integration patterns.\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\n\nTOGAF, AWS/Azure Architecture, or similar certification
