You will serve as a key contributor to the Machining and Grinding Center of Excellence (COE), providing technical leadership and training in multi-axis CNC programming, process development, and cross-facility support. The position requires a high level of autonomy and expertise to drive process consistency, improve machining efficiency, and support new product introduction across multiple facilities.Roles and Responsibilities:\nCNC Programming & Process Development\nDevelop, optimize, and maintain multi-axis CNC programs for mills, lathes, and grinding equipment.\nEstablish standardized programming methodologies, tooling strategies, and process documentation.\nSupport new product introduction (NPI) through process design, prove-out, and validation. \nPerform complex set-ups and operate a variety of CNC equipment using an advanced level of tooling knowledge.\nEquipment Maintenance\nTroubleshoot machining and equipment issues and implement corrective actions.\nPerform preventative maintenance functions (i.e. Ball bar, changing coolants, lubricants, filters, etc.) and update PM schedules as needed.\nPerform intermediate troubleshooting and repair of equipment including replacing pumps, aligning tool changers, repairing probes, and plumbing coolant, air, and vacuum.\nCoordinate with vendors for advanced equipment repairs.\nQuality & Process Control\nInterpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements to ensure conformance. \nPerform in-process inspections and collaborate with quality engineers to resolve nonconformances.\nInterpret CMM reports and validate inspection techniques.\nUtilize SPC methods to monitor process stability and identify sources of variation. \nContinuous Improvement & Data Analysis\nLead or participate in Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives. \nDesign and execute experiments to improve machining processes, including data collection and statistical analysis. \nDrive improvements in cycle time, yield, and process capability. \nLeadership & Knowledge Transfer\nServe as a technical resource and mentor for CNC programmers and machinists. \nProvide training in CNC programming (e.g., Mastercam) and machining best practices. \nSupport development of COE capabilities, including standardization and best practice deployment across sites. \nProvide remote and on-site technical support to multiple manufacturing locations. \nContribute to the development and expansion of the Machining Center of Excellence. \nJob Requirements:\nEducation &Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred\nMinimum 3 years of engineering experience.\nExperience with 5-axis CNC machining, programming, and/or manufacturing processes.\nSix Sigma certification a plus.\nFunctional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nExperience programming CNC machines to tight tolerances.\nProficient with a variety of CNC equipment controls and materials.\nProficient with MasterCAM and post processor development. \nFull understanding of G and M code functions.\nExperience setting up and using NC simulation such as NCSIMUL or Vericut.\nStrong Analytical and problem-solving skills. \nStrong knowledge of GD&T with demonstrated ability to produce prototype parts from blueprint/drawing.\nStrong mathematical skills in Trigonometry/geometry.\nStrong interpersonal and organizational skills, great attention to detail as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.\nMust be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.\nPosition Specific Requirements:\nRole Level: We are open to this position being filled at the Engineer II or III level, based on the candidate’s experience, education, technical expertise, and overall qualifications.\nTravel: Position may require up to 25% travel to support projects.\nRelocation: Potential relocation assistance is available based on candidate eligibility.\n Target Hiring Range\n: USD 0.00 - USD 0.00Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
