This role supports tooling selection, setup optimization, inspection validation, and targeted machining process improvements while serving as a key technical contributor within manufacturing operations.The CNC Specialist demonstrates strong machining knowledge, practical programming capability, and ownership of set-up quality, production efficiency, and process consistency within assigned machining operations.\nRoles & Responsibilities\nIndependently set up and operate CNC manufacturing equipment for established production, prototype, or low-volume machining assignments.\nAdjust existing CNC programs, tooling, and machining parameters to maintain quality, repeatability, set-up efficiency, and production performance within approved process limits.\nSupport tooling selection, fixture setup, and execution of established machining strategies.\nPerform precision inspections using established inspection methods and validate dimensional compliance against drawings, GD&T requirements, and quality standards.\nSupport FAI activities, set-up documentation, inspection records, and updates to standard work based on approved process changes.\nTroubleshoot machining, tooling, set-up, dimensional, and process-related issues within assigned production processes; escalate complex issues requiring advanced process development or cross-functional corrective actions.\nIdentify and implement set-up reduction, throughput, and machining efficiency improvements within assigned processes using established practices.\nCollaborate with engineering, quality and operations teams to resolve production issues and implement approved manufacturing solutions.\nSupport prototype and low-volume machining activities by executing assigned set-ups, documenting set-up insights, and providing feedback on manufacturability or process risks.\nTrain and support less experienced CNC personnel on set-up practices, machine operation, inspection techniques, basic troubleshooting, program adjustment and other established process requirements.\nJob Requirements\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred\nTechnical machining certification or apprenticeship preferred\nExperience\nFour (4) years of CNC machining and setup experience\nExperience operating multi-axis CNC equipment\nTechnical Skills\nStrong understanding of G-code and M-code fundamentals\nBlueprint reading and GD&T proficiency\nTooling selection and machining fundamentals\nStrong troubleshooting and process adjustment capability\nPrecision metrology and inspection skills\nBasic CAM software exposure\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting prototype machining\nExperience in aerospace, semiconductor, ceramics, or medical manufacturing\nLean Manufacturing and process improvement experience\nCAM software experience\n Target Hiring Range\n: USD 27.00 - USD 36.00Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
