Support the implementation and evaluation of programs designed to minimize risks to employees and the environment. Support and maintain procedures and policies adhering to local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.Support the implementation and maintenance of the Environmental Health and Safety Management System.\nFollow established procedures to determine if all EHS issues have been assessed and impacts minimized.\nComplete all applicable Environmental reporting and submit to EHS Manager for filing with appropriate agencies; may coordinate inspections with a regulatory external and internal agency.\nCarry out technical duties to ensure proper waste disposal of all facility waste streams.\nParticipate in plant inspections of fire and safety equipment, machinery, and facilities.\nHelp to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.\nAble to handle and operate devices, equipment, materials, or machinery used in handling, monitoring, or performance of EHS programs; may require ability to calibrate or maintain equipment to standards.\nAble to monitor, track, log, and/or maintain, physical records of EHS procedures and programs.\nAble to follow prescribed safety procedures, and comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, regulating environmental health and safety.\nSupport and conduct EHS training to educate employees about EHS policies, laws, and company best practices.\nPerform technical duties to support investigations of accidents and incidents to minimize recurrence.\nMay conduct noise monitoring surveys to determine hearing protection requirements and compliance with OSHA Hearing Conservation Program.\nMay conduct air quality tests for presence of harmful substances.\nMay conduct sampling (bulk samples, grab samples, wipe samples, etc.) to determine compliance and/or to determine possible environmental, health, and safety impacts.\nConduct routine technical duties related to department and facility audits to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.\nAble to identify and report safety concerns to higher-level staff; evaluate safety factors and reports to management.\nParticipate in continuous improvement efforts. Support and help to implement new ideas.\nAssist and/or perform in any and all areas as assigned. Job Requirements: Education:\nAssociate Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or in related discipline or a High School diploma/GED and equivalent work experience. Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nUnderstanding of all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, with demonstrated ability to read and interpret government regulations.\nPerform detail-oriented tasks utilizing effective communication and high math skills.\nAbility to prioritize and balance multiple ongoing tasks.\nMust be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.\n Target Hiring Range\nAnnual Salary: USD 82,143.00 - USD 108,429.00Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
