Automation systems are highly process integrated and apply to routine and repeatable production processes in support of their efficient operation.Roles & Responsibilities:\nFollow all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures as required. Identify opportunities for safety improvements.\nPerforms startups, shutdowns and product mix changes across standardized production processes with manual and basic automation components\nIdentify technical problems and implement routine or directed solutions\nFollows documented and scheduled maintenance procedures\nFollow routine and repeatable work instructions and product mix specifications and may encounter special instructions in the preparation of ceramic material.\nLearns and applies manufacturing principles and best practices as the method to most effectively complete their work.\nWork closely with other operators to share information for production continuity between shifts, process steps or departments\nPerform in-process quality testing for assigned process area\nSafely operate powered industrial equipment to move material to and from locations within the facility.\nMaintain workspace cleanliness and follow appropriate 6S practices.\nAssist in accurately tracking all inventory, supplies, and raw materials.\nJob Requirements:\nEducation:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\nBasic reading and math skills\nMust meet all training requirements as defined by department\nExperience:\n1-2 years of manufacturing experience a plus\nForklift operation required, experience a plus\nSemi-automated machine operation experience preferred\nFunctional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nCommunication: Shares information, ideas, feelings, and observations clearly, while also taking the time to listen and respond to others.\nTechnology Use: Ability and willingness to learn and navigate various devices and software programs including touch screen technology\nMechanical Aptitude: Basic mechanical aptitude including selection and use of hand and power tools\nDetail Oriented: Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions to complete tasks with increasing accuracy and thoroughness.\nTime Management: Effectively uses time and proactively follows priorities to meet set targets\nPosition Specific Physical Requirements\nAbility to lift 60 lbs.\nAbility to work from ladders when performing tasks.\nMust be able to climb and descend stairs throughout work shift.\nMust be able to work in a cold or hot work environment.\nMay be exposed to a wet or dusty work environment.\n Target Hiring Range\n: USD 0.00 - USD 0.00Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
