Work independently with minimal supervision, take ownership of engineering projects, engage in customer and supplier collaborations, and lead initiatives in process improvement, cost management, and production expansion. Develop and drive implementation of solutions for process/product improvement, quality control, and customer service.Roles & Responsibilities:\nMinimal supervision, ownership responsibility.\nProduct costing & technical review for repeat items, revision changes, or new item with similar design (NPI levels 1-3 ). Costing, design, and oversight for new items with new design that fit existing capabilities (NPI 4).\nReview and approval of Customer approval drawings.\nWork closely with commercial partners and support customer interactions.\nSupport and manage prototyping efforts including hands on creation, evaluation, and collaboration with R&D.\nSet up and update BOM and routings. Validate and maintain BOM and routings. Participate in and/or perform process and product audits and assist with supplier audits from a technical perspective.\nDevelop, update, review, and approval of production drawings.\nDevelop, review, and approval of tooling design.\nReview and optimization of tooling path and part set up.\nLead and support projects such as scrap and productivity, EHS, New Product Introduction, escalations, roadmap, and expansion.\nManagement and ownership Change Control.\nSupport operators and gather production feedback.\nUtilize process control systems (PCS) and Statistical Process Controls (SPC) to effectively maintain and improve product and process quality .\nManage cost controls and develop tools such as dashboards.\nSubject matter expert on specific processing techniques and materials.\nMay judge and handle suspect or abnormal product/process.\nOwnership of systems such as drawing management, templates, dashboards etc...\nProvide assistance and guidance to lower-level engineers. Education:\nBachelor’s degree in related engineering field and/or 4 years of experience in similar discipline. Experience:\n8+ Years Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nAnalytical/Critical Thinking - Identify root causes, implement effective solutions, improve processes, mentor others in data-driven strategies, and foster innovation through critical thinking and self-reflection.\nBuilding Relationships - Engage others in change compellingly, proactively manage conflict routed in different workplace styles, show genuine interest in others' perspectives, and create opportunities to connect with others.\nCommunication - Convey key messages to others across the organization strategically and impactfully, while remaining attuned to emotions and responding to feedback.\nData Analysis - Shape business strategy through advanced analytics, automation, customized reporting/dashboards, and data-driven decision-making, while mentoring others and effectively communicating insights to leadership.\nManufacturing Knowledge - Apply thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining techniques, and associated tooling/fixture design.\nMaterials Knowledge - Apply thorough understanding of materials and characteristics, including material formulations and shrink rates for manufacturing product lines.\nMathematical Reasoning - Understand and apply complex mathematical concepts, including geometry and trigonometry; make recommendations for changes, apply concepts and theories to evaluate manufacturing improvements, and use complex statistical techniques to enhance processes.\nProject Management - Lead projects through all phases, from initiation to closing, by defining scope, planning resources, managing teams, ensuring effective communication, and documenting progress and results.\nTechnology Use - Learn new technology platforms with minimal guidance, train others, select effective platforms for non-routine tasks, and develop best practices. Proficient with job specific software such as (e.g., CAD, SPC).\nTime Management - Delegate tasks appropriately, create schedules with deadlines and goals, adhere to routines and schedules, and use automation and standard work to optimize output.\n Target Hiring Range\nAnnual Salary: USD 87,584.00 - USD 115,611.00Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
