Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments and manufacturing units according to the production schedule, providing exceptional service to customers. Coordinate the monthly S&OP planning process within the supply planning function to ensure plants can communicate requirements and achieve forecasted demand.Roles and Responsibilities\nManage production planning functions, including the development, maintenance, and execution of the master production schedule, while maximizing plant resources to meet customer demand. Coordinate and organize manufacturing operations across multiple functional areas to ensure efficient production flow. Monitor performance against forecasts and production targets, identifying and addressing variances as needed.\nManage effective and service-oriented planning functions to ensure that correct procedures are established and adhered to for achieving the maximum return possible on customer orders while continually improving responsiveness, reliability, and service. May coordinate inside sales activities with customer service staff.\nManage site inventory including Raw materials, Work in Process, and Finished Goods. Responsible for optimizing inventory levels to support customer demand fulfillment. Generate regular reporting of inventory, highlighting inventory health to drive continuous improvement.\nCoordinate the monthly S&OP supply review process for the business unit, ensuring capacity or staffing constraints are understood and communicated effectively.\nLead the supply planning strategy and analysis for multi-site manufacturing operations, supporting business unit product management decisions related to long-term production allocation while optimizing costs and capacity.\nInstrumental in continuous improvement activities through research, benchmarking, and identification of improved methods or tools to increase efficiency.\nMay audit inventory transactions and data entry of daily cycle counts.\nReview and analyze reports, records and directives, and confer with managers/supervisors to obtain data required for planning activities, such as new commitments, status of work in progress, and problems encountered.\nMay supervise the maintenance of purchase orders/invoices/receiving records system, and may prepare instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.\nProvide clarification to employees on issues pertaining to department processes, interpretation of product specifications, technical drawings, and purchase orders.\nMay authorize retention of data and preparation of documents for use during governmental or customer inquiries.\nPerform tasks where the ability to identify, define, and make recommendations for quality control issues may be required.\nMay monitor, review, and approve, employee time records in a timely manner to meet established deadlines.\nConduct interviewing process and make recommendations on appropriate candidate to fill vacancy.\nPrepare and administer on-time delivery of employee performance reviews by effectively communicating work performance standards and setting realistic goals.\nEnforce attendance and work rules uniformly and recommend when counseling or discipline is required.\nWith assistance from human resources, conduct disciplinary meetings with employees.\nAssist and/or perform in any and all areas as assigned.\nJob Requirements\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in related field or 10 years work experience in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nExperience:\n7 years of production planning experience.\nFunctional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nAnalytical skills; able to create and utilize spreadsheet models tracking demand, supply, and inventory, including multiple scenarios.\nData savvy: able to quickly merge data from multiple sources, manipulate it, and present it intelligibly to explain the situation (i.e., tell the story)\nStrong communication skills:Comfortable working cross functionally, both internally and external to CoorsTek.\nAble to navigate difficult meetings with professionalism.\nAble to create concise email and PowerPoint communications.\n\nDevelop comprehensive knowledge of customer products, data, terminology, and needs.\nDevelop knowledge of CoorsTek manufacturing processes, lead-times, and strategies.\nSupply chain planning knowledge around MRP, inventory models, etc.\nHighly proficient in MS Office tools, PowerBI, and other data or visualization tools is a plus.\nAble to work successfully with people across the US, Europe, and Asia, including evening meetings with Asia.\n Target Hiring Range\nAnnual Salary: USD 108,000.00 - USD 142,000.00Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
