Join our team and start your journey today!\n\n The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. This role supports new product introductions, manufacturing transfers, automation projects, capacity expansions, and continuous improvement initiatives across Copeland's global manufacturing network.\nThe Advanced Manufacturing Engineer partners with Operations, Product Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and external suppliers to ensure robust, scalable manufacturing solutions that support business growth and operational excellence.\nAs an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, You Will:\nLead manufacturing process design, development, and validation for new and existing products. \nDevelop and implement automation, tooling, assembly systems, and advanced manufacturing technologies. \nManage capital equipment projects from concept through installation, commissioning, and production ramp-up. \nSupport new product introduction (NPI) activities and ensure manufacturability requirements are incorporated into product designs. \nDrive productivity, quality, and cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. \nConduct process capability studies and establish process controls to ensure consistent product quality. \nSupport manufacturing footprint optimization, plant transfers, and global production launches. \nPerform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing and quality issues. \nDevelop process documentation, work instructions, PFMEAs, control plans, and standard operating procedures. \nCollaborate with suppliers and equipment manufacturers on custom equipment development and process improvements. \nAnalyze manufacturing data to identify opportunities for operational improvements and waste elimination. \nEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. \nMentor operations personnel and support training activities related to new processes and equipment. \nRequired Education, Experience, & Skills:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline. \n2 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a high-volume production environment. \nExperience leading capital projects and manufacturing process improvement initiatives. \nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles. \nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. \nExcellent project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills. \nDomestic and international travel up to 25% \nPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills:\n5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a high-volume production environment. \nKnowledge of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and quality systems. \nExperience with automated assembly equipment, robotics, vision systems, and Industry 4.0 technologies. \nExperience supporting international manufacturing operations and product transfers. \nFamiliarity with ERP and MES systems. \nOnsite Work Arrangement:\nThis role is based fully onsite, and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.\nWhy Work in the Greater Miami Valley Area\nOur facility is located in Sidney, OH, conveniently located within driving distance to several larger cities, such as Dayton, Troy, and Columbus.
