Join our team and start your journey today!\nWe are looking for an Application Engineer to join our growing Industrial Heating Solutions team. In this customer-facing role, you will develop application solutions utilizing Copeland's industrial heat pump portfolio, working closely with customers, Sales, Engineering, and New Product Development teams to deliver technically sound and commercially competitive solutions.\nThis position can be based in Overath orAac hen, Germany, with a hybrid working model.\nKey Responsibilities:\nServe as the technical subject matter expert for industrial heat pump applications and related services, including factory acceptance testing (FAT) and field commissioning activities.\nPartner closely with the Sales team to support customer enquiries, customer meetings, and technical discussions.\nDevelop application concepts, technical proposals, and solution designs that support commercial customer offers.\nAnalyze customer requirements and recommend the most effective industrial heating solutions.\nCollaborate with compressor and controls R&D teams, New Product Development engineers, suppliers, and solution architects to create optimized customer solutions.\nSupport preliminary system design activities for customer projects transitioning into execution.\nMonitor developments within the industrial heat pump market, including emerging technologies and competitive solutions, and provide market insights to leadership.\nRepresent Copeland at industry events, customer meetings, technical conferences, and workshops.\nBuild strong customer relationships through a consultative and solution-oriented approach.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.\nWhile we prefer at least 5 years of experience, candidates with approximately 2 years of highly relevant experience may also be considered if they demonstrate strong technical capability, customer-facing experience, and the right attitude.\nStrong understanding of thermodynamics, refrigeration systems, and heat pump technologies.\nExperience working with customer applications and providing technical recommendations.\nAbility to combine technical expertise with commercial awareness.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, project coordination, and communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and effectively within an international, cross-functional team environment.\nFluent English language skills are required.\nWillingness to travel up to 30%.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nDegree specialization in Mechanical Engineering, Thermodynamics, Refrigeration, or related disciplines.\nExperience with industrial refrigeration and industrial heat pump applications.\nTechnical sales or customer-facing engineering experience.\nAdditional European language skills are advantageous.\nExperience supporting industrial heating, energy efficiency, or thermal management projects.\nAbout the Location:\nThis role is based in Aachen or Overath, Germany, cities renowned for their engineering excellence, innovation ecosystem, and international business environment.
