Based in our Suzhou, China location, you will support the development, validation, and sustaining of thermostat and HVAC electronic control products. You will play a key role in product verification, laboratory operations, certification testing, and continuous improvement activities that support broader business objectives.\nAS AN ASSISTANT ENGINEER, YOU WILL:\nSupport the development, testing, and sustaining of thermostat and HVAC electronic control products.\nPerform hardware validation, verification, and certification testing to ensure product safety, quality, and reliability.\nBuild prototypes, engineering samples, and test fixtures to support engineering development and qualification activities.\nCollect, analyze, and document test data, and prepare technical reports and test summaries.\nAssist in troubleshooting product issues, conducting failure analysis, and identifying root causes.\nSupport laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, calibration activities, and ISO 17025 quality system compliance.\nParticipate in safety audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to laboratory safety, quality, and 5S practices.\nResearch and evaluate new technologies and support engineers in developing innovative control solutions.\nSCHEDULE:\nThis role is based on a standard Monday through Friday work schedule during normal business hours.\nOnsite Work Arrangement:\nThis role is based fully onsite and is not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities. The position requires regular laboratory work and hands-on support for testing, product verification, and development activities.\nREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:\nBachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or a related field.\n1-2 years of experience in electronic hardware development, testing, or laboratory operations, or relevant internship/project experience.\nKnowledge of analog and digital circuit fundamentals.\nFamiliarity with hardware design and troubleshooting techniques.\nExperience using hardware design tools such as Cadence or Allegro is preferred.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.\nStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.\nPassion for engineering, continuous learning, and technical development.\nPREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:\nExperience with thermostat, HVAC, or embedded electronic control products.\nFamiliarity with UL or other product certification requirements and testing processes.\nExperience with laboratory equipment, test automation, or environmental and reliability testing.\nKnowledge of ISO 17025 laboratory systems and quality processes.\nExperience performing failure analysis and root cause investigations.\nDemonstrated ability to support multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nOur Commitment to Our People\nAcross the globe, we are united by a singular Purpose: Sustainability is no small ambition.
