Join our team and start your journey today!\nCopeland is looking for a controls engineer on our Oil Free Centrifugal (OFC) development team. Our OFC compressors are sold to system manufacturers in HVAC and Data Center applications. It is a fast-paced and demanding environment as we adjust to customer requests. The main focus of the job will be development of the Human Machine Interface (HMI) program for the compressor with additional responsibilities supporting the compressor control logic. The job is based in Sidney, OH with some opportunity for remote work. We will not be able to offer visa sponsorship for this role.\nAs a Centrifugal Controls Engineer, you will:\nWork safely within office and lab testing environments, holding others to safety standards.\nCreate, modify and test compressor HMI applications (currently in C#).\nSupport compressor test team with lab controls, technician HMI views, and data recording.\nDocument and track issue and feature requests in GitHub.\nSupport application engineers with customer questions and troubleshooting.\nSupport DFMEA reviews for controls and control hardware.\nModify and test compressor control logic using structured text and function block diagram languages.\nDocument control changes in internal specifications and customer manuals.\nTravel to customer locations for system control support and field troubleshooting (minimal time).\nSupport compressor development team on control hardware selection and testing.\nSupport power electronics (variable frequency drive) development team with compressor controller and drive interactions.\nSchedule:\nThis role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs.
