Based in our Sidney, Ohio location, you will represent Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) to provide relevant inputs for New Product Development programs (NPD) as outlined below.\nAs an EXPERIENCED / SENIOR SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER, You Will:\nEvaluate suppliers by leading/conducting quality system audits using the Copeland Supplier Audit (CSA).\nAssist with source selection and development. Audit and evaluate technical capabilities of existing and potential suppliers.\nMonitor and report supplier quality performance trends periodically and implement actions as needed to achieve quality objectives.\nProcess, review and disposition PPAPs, deviations, audit findings, and supplier corrective actions. Assure that supplier controls and processes are capable of\nconsistently producing components meeting all requirements. Assure supplier PFMEA, Control Plans, and other process documentation is adequate.\nDevelop and support suppliers through visits, CSA quality audits, process audits, lean projects, providing manufacturing process technical guidance, and other means\nas appropriate. Follow up with suppliers to assure corrective actions are implemented.\nConduct internal and external training necessary to improve supplier quality.\nSupport new product development programs and supplier transitions. Participate in design reviews and provide commodity related design improvement suggestions for\nglobal sourcing, design/manufacturing optimization, and process/tool design.\nSupervise co-op / intern students as required. Duties may include selecting candidates, assigning work, mentoring, instructing, and evaluating performance.\nDevelop and achieve annual objectives supporting overall department and company objectives.\nWHO YOU ARE:\nYou understand internal and external stakeholder requirements, expectations and needs. Able to adjust message communication to fit the audience and provide helpful/timely information to individuals across the organization.\nREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:\nBachelors degree in Engineering or related field plus five (5) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education / experience\nQuality engineering experience including knowledge and experience in:\nAPQP; Flow Charting; Control plans; FMEA; DFM\nStatistical Process Control\nMeasurement System Analysis (Gage R&R)\nProblem Solving; Corrective Action; Process Improvement Techniques\nQuality Systems; ISO 9000 and/or TS16949\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills\nProficient ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications including GD&T\nUnderstanding of manufacturing processes used in relevant commodities\nTravel up to 15% within North America\nPREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:\nBachelors degree in Engineering plus ten (10) years experience\nMaster's Degree in Engineering or MBA\nCertifications in ASQ (CQA, CQE, CQM)\nCertified 6 Sigma Green Belt or Equivalent\nA broad knowledge of various manufacturing processes.\nQuality Auditing (Systems and processes)\nAdvanced statistics, problem solving and process improvement techniques.\nBroad knowledge of Copeland LP products such as product function / application, customer expectations, and material properties.\nCollaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:\nThis role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week.
