Join our team and start your journey today!\nJob Summary\nThe Lead Technical Writer is responsible for leading the Manila Technical Documentation team in the development, review, and maintenance of technical documentation for Cold Chain, Healthcare, and Food Service products. This role combines technical writing expertise, project coordination, content quality assurance, and team leadership to ensure the timely delivery of accurate, user-friendly, and brand-compliant documentation. The position serves as a key liaison between Manila-based documentation resources and U.S.-based engineering, product management, and technical documentation stakeholders.\nAs a Lead Technical Writer, You Will:\nSupport Kennesaw Engineering, Cooper-Atkins Healthcare, and Food Service Groups with technical writing initiatives and content development for technical documents related to Cold Chain products.\nLead and coordinate Manila-based technical documentation projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and aligned with business priorities.\nReview, edit, and approve documentation produced by junior technical writers prior to submission to the Technical Documentation Manager in the United States.\nManage and track documentation activities using Monday.com project boards and support project planning, prioritization, and status reporting.\nPrepare, develop, update, and maintain technical documentation including:User Guides and User Manuals\nProduct Data Sheets\nTechnical Bulletins\nQuick Installation Guides\nOnline Help Content\nRelease Notes\nFirmware Documentation\nProduct Instructional Materials\n\nCreate and modify technical illustrations, diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, screenshots, and other visual aids to improve content usability and comprehension.\nCollaborate closely with Product Managers, Product Experts, Engineers, Quality Teams, and Technical Documentation leadership to gather, validate, and organize technical information.\nEnsure all technical documents comply with Copeland branding, style guides, documentation standards, and industry best practices.\nPerform document version control, file management, and document archival activities.\nUpload and maintain technical documents, firmware files, and related content on company websites, repositories, and content management systems.\nSupport documentation publishing activities and ensure content accuracy across digital platforms.\nGenerate and report documentation metrics, project updates, and team performance indicators to Manila leadership as required.\nIdentify opportunities to improve documentation processes, workflows, templates, and standards to increase efficiency and document quality.\nMentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to junior documentation team members.\nParticipate in cross-functional meetings, project reviews, Manila office initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.\nSupport compliance, quality, and regulatory documentation requirements, as applicable.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, Information Technology, English, Communications, or a related field.\n5+ years of technical writing experience, preferably in engineering, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare devices, electronics, refrigeration, HVAC, or related technical industries.\nDemonstrated experience leading technical documentation projects and reviewing the work of other technical writers.\nStrong ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, product requirements, and system documentation.\nExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate and high-quality documentation.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience working in a global and cross-functional environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting Cold Chain, Food Service, Healthcare, HVAC, Refrigeration, or Industrial Automation products.\nExperience creating wiring diagrams, technical illustrations, and engineering documentation.\nFamiliarity with content management systems, controlled documentation environments, and document lifecycle processes.\nExperience working with Agile, project management, or product development teams.\nSoftware Tools and Skills Requirements\nAdobe FrameMaker\nAdobe Illustrator\nAdobe InDesign\nSharePoint\nGitHub (TortoiseGit and GitHub Desktop)\nAprimo\nMonday.com\nTeamcenter\nMicrosoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)\nAdobe Acrobat Pro\nKey Competencies\nTechnical Writing & Editing\nContent Development\nProject Coordination\nDocumentation Quality Assurance\nLeadership & Mentoring\nStakeholder Management\nProcess Improvement\nInformation Organization\nProblem Solving\nAttention to Detail\nTime Management\nCollaboration & Communication\nOur Commitment to Our People\nAcross the globe, we are united by a singular Purpose: Sustainability is no small ambition.
