Based in our Pune, India location, you will support the design, development, validation, and release of compressor components, assemblies, and systems for HVACR applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative and reliable product solutions while supporting new product development, sustaining engineering, and product improvement initiatives. You will apply engineering principles and technical expertise to solve product design challenges and contribute to successful project execution.\nAS AN ENGINEER II - PRODUCT DESIGN, YOU WILL:\nProduct Design & Development\nDesign and develop compressor components, assemblies, and related mechanical systems from concept through production release.\nCreate and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and product documentation using Siemens NX.\nPerform engineering calculations, theoretical analysis, and design evaluations to support product development.\nSupport product validation through testing, analysis, and correlation of test results with design intent.\nParticipate in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM&A), Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE), and Design of Experiments (DOE) activities.\nSupport Engineering Change Notice (ECN) creation, implementation, and release activities.\nCollaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Systems Engineering, Testing Laboratories, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams to ensure successful product development and launch.\nCoordinate prototype builds, testing activities, and engineering investigations.\nParticipate in design reviews and present technical findings and recommendations to project teams and stakeholders.\nIdentify technical risks and support development of mitigation plans.\nSupport root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for product and design-related issues.\nContribute to cost reduction, productivity improvement, and product enhancement initiatives.\nMaintain engineering documentation, records, and deliverables in accordance with company standards and product development processes.\nWork effectively within global engineering teams while ensuring timely completion of assigned deliverables.\n·\nREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:\nEducation\nBachelor’s Degree (BE/B.Tech) or Master’s Degree (ME/M.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or related discipline.\nExperience\n4 to 5 years of experience in Product Design and Development.\nExperience in Compressors, Rotating Machinery, HVACR, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, or related industries preferred.\nExperience supporting engineering projects and product development activities.\nExposure to product lifecycle activities from concept through production release.\nPREFERRED SKILLS\nKnowledge of mechanical design, thermal engineering, structural analysis, and engineering calculations.\nProficiency in Siemens NX/UG NX, engineering drawings, GD&T, BOM management, and ECN processes.\nUnderstanding of product testing, design validation, and manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, casting, and assembly.\nExperience with engineering methodologies such as DFMEA, DFM&A, VAVE, DOE, and risk management.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\nExposure to Finite Element Analysis (FEA), statistical data analysis, MATLAB, Mathcad, or equivalent engineering tools.\nKnowledge of reliability engineering and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.\nExperience working on cross-functional and global engineering projects\nADDED ADVANTAGE:\nKnowledge of statistical data analysis, MATLAB, Mathcad, and reliability engineering.\nExperience with casting, sheet metal, and manufacturing processes.\nExposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.\nExperience mentoring or providing technical guidance to engineers.\nOur Commitment to Our People\nAcross the globe, we are united by a singular Purpose: Sustainability is no small ambition.
