Join our team and start your journey today!\n\nJob Description\nIf you are a Production/Manufacturing Manager looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based out of our Natchitoches, LA location, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of second shift operations. Your expertise will be vital in driving efficient production processes and upholding our high-quality standards. You will lead a dedicated team of two salaried supervisors and approximately 50-60 hourly employees. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will spearhead initiatives to optimize productivity, enhance operational performance, and foster a culture of collaboration and safety for the department.\nAS A PRODUCTION/MANUFACTURING MANAGER, YOU WILL:\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors and hourly employees, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.\nEnsure production targets are met while maintaining quality standards and operational efficiency.\nMonitor production metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to optimize workflow.\nCollaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to troubleshoot production issues and ensure minimal downtime.\nLead shift meetings to communicate production goals, safety protocols, and updates to the team.\nEnforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety awareness among all team members.\nAnalyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.\nEnsure all procedures, reporting, and policies are followed and has authority to directly address or correct any non-conformance.\nCompletes or ensures proper paperwork, record-keeping, data entry.\nSCHEDULE:\nThis position has the working hours of 4:30 am - 3:30 pm and is fully onsite.\nREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent minimally required.\nEight (8) years of experience as a Production Supervisor in a large, high-volume manufacturing setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nDemonstrated leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.\nProven track record of successfully leading teams and driving operational excellence.\nStrong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.\nExcellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing production challenges.\nStrong orientation for continuous improvement.\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate well cross-functionally and work well at all levels of the organization.\nResourceful, proactive, high energy, results driven.\nAbility to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and familiarity with manufacturing software and reporting tools.\nPREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:\nBachelor’s degree in a relevant field.\nThree (3) years of experience as a Shift Manager in a large, high-volume manufacturing environment.\nExperience with lean manufacturing or similar continuous process improvement.\nOur Commitment to Our People\nAcross the globe, we are united by a singular Purpose: Sustainability is no small ambition.
