Join our team and start your journey today!\nJob Description:\nIf you are a Mechanical Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to apply the fundamentals of engineering to real-world product challenges, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you.\nAs a member of the Applied Mechanics Lab team, you will support engineering testing, product development, supplier qualification, and failure analysis activities across Copeland's HVACR product portfolio. This role offers a unique combination of hands-on laboratory work, engineering analysis, design, testing, and problem-solving.\nYou will work alongside a highly experienced team of engineers and technicians, gaining exposure to a wide variety of mechanical engineering disciplines including structural analysis, testing, instrumentation, machine design, durability, vibration, fatigue, and data analysis.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer who enjoys understanding how things work, solving technical problems, and applying engineering fundamentals to real-world products\nAS A MECHANICAL ENGINEER - APPLIED MECHANICS LAB, YOU WILL:\nSupport engineering projects related to product development, supplier qualification, and customer failure analysis.\n\nPlan and execute laboratory testing on mechanical components and systems.\n\nDesign and develop test fixtures and experimental setups.\n\nAnalyze engineering test data and provide technical conclusions and recommendations.\n\nApply mechanical engineering principles to investigate product performance and durability issues.\n\nCollaborate with engineers, lab technicians, and internal customers to define project objectives and testing requirements.\n\nPrepare technical reports and present findings to engineering stakeholders.\n\nSupport continuous improvement of testing methods, procedures, and laboratory capabilities.\n\nDevelop expertise in durability, vibration, fatigue, materials behavior, and mechanical system performance.\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.\n\n0-2 years of engineering experience, including internships or co-op experience.\n\nStrong CAD experience using NX, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or similar 3D modeling software.\n\nWorking knowledge of Strength of Materials / Mechanics of Materials principles.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to interpret engineering test results and technical data.\n\nExcellent organizational skills and willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment.\n\nLegal authorization to work in the United States.
