Join our team and start your journey today!\nJob Description:\nJoin Vilter as a Mechanical Engineer and play a hands-on role in designing and engineering our single screw and reciprocating compressor units. In this position, you'll focus on enhancing product features, reducing costs, and promoting design-for-manufacturability. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll select components and configure systems to meet customer requirements, support manufacturing efficiency, and ensure compliance with applicable industry codes and standards.\nAS A MECHANICAL ENGINEER, YOU WILL:\nReview component and system designs for refrigeration and gas compression equipment; recommend improvements to enhance performance and reduce costs.\nEnsure designs comply with engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements, and applicable codes and specifications.\nLead and coordinate the development of required engineering documentation to meet internal and external requirements for assigned projects.\nCollaborate with Sales to evaluate customer specifications and support integration of quotation tools with product configurators in ERP systems.\nInterpret and apply applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, UL, CRN, NFPA, AWS) to ensure compliance.\nReview and approve production drawings, providing recommendations to improve design quality, cost efficiency, and manufacturability.\nPartner with suppliers and external engineering resources to resolve technical and supply challenges.\nServe as a technical resource for manufacturing, sales, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues and answer technical questions.\nProvide technical support for projects and equipment, including customer presentations, training sessions, trade shows, and job-site visits; support troubleshooting and field service activities.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)\n1-3 years of relevant experience\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly\nWorking knowledge of 3D CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks, or Creo)\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite\nTeam-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute to positive change\nCollaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:\nThis role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week.
