Join our team and start your journey today!\nJob Description:\nThe Project Manager I (PMI) is responsible for coordinating and executing small to mid-size technical projects within Copeland’s Cold Chain Professional Services organization. In this role, you will support food retail customers with a primary focus on controls, monitoring, commissioning, and field service-driven project execution. The PMI manages projects from intake through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety requirements are met. You will operate within a matrixed delivery organization, partnering closely with Field Services, Technical Services, Project Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure successful project outcomes. This position reports to the Manager, Project Execution.\nAS A PROJECT MANAGER I, YOU WILL:\nProject Execution\nManage assigned projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring delivery aligns with approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.\n\nCoordinate internal and external resources to support field execution, including Field Service Managers, Technicians, Project Engineers, and subcontractors.\n\nEnsure project documentation is complete andmaintainedthroughout the lifecycle.\n\nFinancial & Operational Management\nTrack and manage project financials, including revenue, cost, margin, labor, and material usage.\n\nMaintainaccurateproject schedules, logs, forecasts, and closeout documentation.\n\nSupport monthly forecasting activities and provide inputs to S&OP related to upcoming labor demand or equipment volume.\n\nIdentifyopportunities tooptimizelabor and material usage whilemaintainingscopeintegrity.\n\nCustomer & Stakeholder Engagement\nServe as the primary point of contact for day-to-day project communication with customers.\n\nProvide clear,timelyproject status updates and escalate risks or issues as needed.\n\nDevelop working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders by understanding project requirements and success criteria.\n\nAct as a technical liaison in coordination with engineering and technical teams.\n\nCoordination & Team Support\nProvide guidance and day-to-daydirectionto Project Coordinators as assigned.\n\nCollaborate closely with Field Service Managers and Technicians to ensure field execution aligns with scope, standards, and safety requirements.\n\nParticipate in account meetings, internal project reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nPMO & Process Adherence\nExecute projectsin accordance withPMO governance, standard work, and Copeland processes.\n\nMaintain project data in required systems and tools.\n\nContribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement efforts.\n\nDaily & Monthly Activities\nReview active projects and update status, risks, and schedules.\n\nIntake new projects andvalidatescope, assumptions, and execution plans.\n\nAttend customer and internal account meetings and adjust plans based on outcomes.\n\nTrack upcoming work and capacity needs across assigned accounts.\n\nProactivelyidentifyissues and recommend solutions.\n\nREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.\n\nExperience in project coordination, project management, or technical field service environments.\n\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).\n\nAbility to travel up to25% based on project and customer needs.\n\nCommitment to safety and compliance in field environments.\n\nAbility to support field-based projects, including visits to customer sites as needed.\n\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with multiple active projects.\n\nPREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:\n3-5+ years of experience supporting HVACR, controls, refrigeration, or technical services projects.\n\nExperience working with food retail customers.\n\nFamiliarity with PMO-driven environments and standardized project controls.\n\nCAPM, PMP, ordemonstratedproject managementproficiency.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nCollaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:\nThis role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week.
