Join our team and start your journey today!\nThe Senior Advanced Manufacturing Technology System Layout Engineer is responsible for the development of manufacturing system layouts and production line architectures that optimize material flow, equipment utilization, operator efficiency, and overall system performance. This role uses CAD tools to design and visualize integrated manufacturing systems while collaborating with process, equipment, automation, controls, and operations teams to ensure successful implementation of new production capabilities.\nThe ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in manufacturing process development, assembly operations, automation integration, and facility-wide material flow. They will work closely with product engineering, operations, automation, controls, logistics, and plant leadership teams to develop scalable manufacturing systems that balance operator labor content with automated equipment capabilities.\nAs a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Technology System Layout Engineer, You Will:\nDevelop manufacturing system concepts for new products, production expansions, and plant transformations.\nDesign and optimize assembly lines, sub-assembly areas, workstations, and production cells to maximize throughput and efficiency.\nCreate future-state manufacturing layouts utilizing lean manufacturing principles.\nEvaluate alternative manufacturing concepts and recommend optimal system configurations.\nLead line balancing activities and workstation optimization based on takt time, cycle time, labor content, and production requirements.\nDefine interfaces and interactions between manufacturing equipment, automation systems, test systems, robotics and material handling equipment.\nDevelop strategies to improve productivity, flexibility, and scalability.\nDevelop detailed plant and production area layouts using 2D & 3D CAD tools.\nAnalyze space utilization and develop capacity plans for future growth.\nBalance operator tasks and automated processes to achieve productivity, quality, and ergonomic objectives.\nConduct manufacturing system simulations, throughput analysis, and bottleneck evaluations.\nParticipate in design reviews, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and production readiness reviews.\nREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:\nBachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field. Associates degree with equivalent work experience would be considered.\nMinimum 5+ years of manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or advanced manufacturing experience.\nExperience designing and implementing assembly lines, manufacturing systems, and plant layouts.\nStrong understanding of manufacturing process development and production flow analysis.\nProficiency with CAD software for layout development (AutoCAD, BricsCAD, or similar 2D software)\nExperience with line balancing, labor analysis, and capacity planning.\nStrong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.\nExcellent communication and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to travel up to 25% within the US & Mexico. \nPREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:\nExperience with high-volume assembly manufacturing environments.\nKnowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and value stream mapping methodologies.\nExperience with manufacturing simulation and digital factory tools.\nFamiliarity with automated material transport technologies.\nExperience developing manufacturing specifications and managing capital equipment projects.\nExperience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and production launches.\nExperience with automated assembly equipment, robotics, conveyors, and material handling systems.\nOnsite Work Arrangement:\nThis role is based fully onsite, and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.\nWhy Work in the Greater Miami Valley Area\nOur facility is located in Sidney, OH, conveniently located within driving distance to several larger cities, such as Dayton, Troy, and Columbus.
