Join our team and start your journey today!\nSr. Quality Test Technician will be responsible for testing and quality assurance of all products in the Copeland Controls Solutions - Cold Chain portfolio of facility controls, devices, and software applications with high standards. Further this role will serve as mentor for onsite and offshore test teams.\nAs a Sr. Quality Test Technician, You Will:\nHave advanced knowledge of electronics along with understanding of electrical safety agency requirements and hands-on experience with controls systems, HVAC, and/or refrigeration systems.\nMaintain integration test environments including installing, wiring, devices, test labs, and controls products.\nInvolve in test planning, forecasting test cycles, test case development, test execution, document test results and meeting estimated timelines.\nIdentify defects, document root cause observations, and work closely with engineering for resolution.\nParticipate in daily team meetings, test scope or requirements analysis sessions.\nOrganizational skills, ability to respond to changing assignments and tasks with minimal supervisory oversight.\nSupport to Engineering, Product Management, Technical Services department as needed with customer filed issue analysis and validations.\nGather test data, maintain quality indicators of pre-release builds on test sites, report metrics and focus on continuous improvements to the process and testing efficiency.\nProvide training and mentorship to the team.\nWho you are:\nThe ideal candidate is self-motivated. You see yourself as a steward and not as a commander.\nRequired Education, Experience & Skills:\nAssociate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.\n5+ years of experience in a combination of controls, firmware, peripherals, embedded systems and software testing.\n1+ year experience as a senior or lead tester for controls, firmware, embedded, peripherals or software teams or testers.\nKnowledge of electronics is required along with understanding of electrical safety agency requirements.\nStrong experience with test planning, forecasting test cycles, creating test cases, execution and testing projects with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.\nExperience with defect tracking, results documentation and cross-functional collaboration.\nStrong organizational skills, attention to details, reporting, problem-solving ability, respond to changing assignments and tasks with minimal supervisory oversight.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nUnderstand testing types, methodologies including waterfall, agile development and have a basic understanding of CMMI.\nFamiliarity with Automation Testing.\nPreferred Education, Experience & Skills:\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and a programming language.\nControls systems, Refrigeration and/ or HVAC will be a strong plus.\nExperience with Testing tools, JIRA, GitHub, and Automation.\nFlexible Work Schedule\nOn-site position. Must be available to work off-hours occasionally to support offshore test teams.
