Join our team and start your journey today!\nOur Sidney, OH location is searching for an Engineering professional responsible for leading the Copeland oil free centrifugal compressor integration with multiple strategic HVAC/R OEM accounts. You will be responsible for successfully integrating the compressors, controls and drive into the OEM’s system. You will be the primary Oil Free Centrifugal compressor contact for our customers and collaborate closely with the Copeland internal engineering, marketing, sales and planning teams.\nAs the Oil Free Centrifugal Senior Systems Engineer, you will:\nWork with the Oil Free Centrifugal (OFC) development team to become the customer facing technical expert supporting the compressor, controls and drive.\nAssist with testing and troubleshooting the Copeland controls and variable speed drive.\nRepresent Copeland to integrate the OFC solution into the customer’s system.\nProvide samples and work directly with the customer’s engineering team and lab resources to test and validate the application.\nCreate customer facing technical specifications and troubleshooting guidelines.\nWork cross functionally with other internal groups such as power electronics, engineering, labs, marketing, product management and sales.\nProvide technical training to the internal Copeland team, customers and end-users.\nClearly and precisely communicate, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization and customers. \nSCHEDULE:\nThis role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person, and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in the office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers.\nREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:\nBachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent\nFive plus (5+) years of experience with oil free compressors (air, water, or refrigerant) or commercial HVAC systems (preferably chillers)\nAn Associate of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent may be considered with ten plus (10+) years of experience with oil free compressors (air, water, or refrigerant) or commercial HVAC systems (preferably chillers)\nAbility to travel domestically 25% of the time.\nUnderstanding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controls) and wiring.\nUnderstanding and experience with variable speed drives and the effects on the compressor and system.\nEffective and adaptive oral and written skills for training, technical support and various problem-solving skills.\nProven success in cross functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.\n\nPREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:\nExperience with integrating and troubleshooting oil free centrifugal compressors, controls and variable speed drives.\nExperience with developing and troubleshooting controls and variable speed drives in an HVAC system.\nCustomer facing technical and sales experience.\nExperience with the operation of chillers and data center applications.\n#LI-Hybrid #LI-GR1\nOur Commitment to Our People\nAcross the globe, we are united by a singular Purpose: Sustainability is no small ambition.
