This position serves as a key link between Receiving, Inventory, Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Logistics.\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on, highly organized individual who can effectively balance physical warehouse responsibilities with system transactions, documentation, inventory control, and cross-functional communication. This position requires strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and the ability to identify and resolve issues before they disrupt operations.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nReceiving & Incoming Material\nCoordinate and process all incoming material and deliveries.\nUnload trucks and safely move materials using forklifts and other material-handling equipment.\nVerify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and other receiving documentation.\nInspect shipments for visible damage, shortages, overages, or incorrect material.\nAccurately complete receiving transactions within the ERP system.\nProperly identify, label, and route received material to the appropriate warehouse, inspection, production, or staging location.\nCoordinate with Quality when material requires incoming inspection or additional review.\nCommunicate receiving discrepancies promptly to Purchasing, Quality, Logistics, and other appropriate departments.\nMaintain organized receiving and staging areas and prevent material from remaining unidentified or unprocessed.\nWarehouse & Material Control\nMaintain accurate inventory locations and ensure material is properly identified and stored.\nPick, stage, and deliver materials required for production, assembly, customer orders, and other operational needs.\nPerform material movements and system transactions accurately and in a timely manner.\nSupport cycle counting and physical inventory activities.\nResearch and assist in resolving inventory discrepancies.\nMonitor warehouse locations for incorrect, unidentified, damaged, or misplaced inventory.\nMaintain FIFO or other required material-rotation practices where applicable.\nAssist with Kanban, safety stock, and point-of-use inventory replenishment.\nMaintain clear aisles, designated storage locations, and an organized warehouse environment.\nIdentify opportunities to improve warehouse space utilization and material flow.\nOrder Picking, Packaging & Shipping Support\nPick material accurately according to sales orders, work orders, transfer requirements, or other documentation.\nVerify part numbers, quantities, condition, and documentation before material leaves the warehouse.\nPackage and protect parts and equipment appropriately for movement or shipment.\nAssist with palletizing, wrapping, strapping, labeling, and other packaging requirements.\nStage completed orders in designated areas for shipment.\nSupport outbound shipping activities as required.\nCoordinate closely with Logistics to ensure material is ready when scheduled for shipment.\nERP & Inventory Transactions\nAccurately complete receiving, inventory movement, picking, staging, and other warehouse transactions within the ERP system.\nResearch transaction discrepancies between physical inventory and system inventory.\nMaintain accurate material locations and inventory records.\nReview open receipts, incomplete transactions, and other exceptions requiring follow-up.\nEnsure warehouse transactions are completed promptly so inventory information remains reliable for Planning, Purchasing, Production, Sales, and Logistics.\nCoordination & Communication\nServe as a primary point of coordination for warehouse and receiving activities.\nCommunicate material shortages, receiving issues, damaged material, inventory discrepancies, and other concerns promptly.\nWork cross-functionally with Purchasing, Production, Scheduling, Quality, Customer Service, Sales, and Logistics.\nPrioritize incoming and outgoing material based on production and customer requirements.\nFollow up on open issues through resolution rather than simply identifying the problem.\nProvide clear and professional communication regarding material status and warehouse priorities.\nSupport urgent requests while maintaining accuracy and established processes.\nSafety, Quality & Continuous Improvement\nFollow all company safety procedures and material-handling requirements.\nSafely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.\nMaintain clean, organized, and safe receiving and warehouse areas.\nSupport 5S, Lean Manufacturing, ISO, and continuous-improvement initiatives.\nIdentify opportunities to reduce unnecessary material movement, handling, searching, and processing time.\nParticipate in root-cause analysis and corrective actions related to inventory or warehouse issues.\nPromote accountability, accuracy, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout warehouse operations.\nQualifications\nRequired\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nPrevious warehouse, receiving, inventory control, logistics, or manufacturing experience.\nForklift experience and ability to safely operate material-handling equipment.\nExperience receiving, picking, packaging, staging, and handling materials.\nBasic computer skills and experience working within an ERP, inventory, or warehouse-management system.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills.\nExcellent attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nAbility to work independently while effectively supporting a cross-functional team.\nDemonstrated ability to identify problems, research discrepancies, and follow issues through resolution.\nPreferred\n2-5 years of warehouse, receiving, logistics, or inventory-control experience in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience with QAD, SAP, or a similar ERP system.\nExperience with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation.\nExperience working within an ISO-certified manufacturing
