# Senior/Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary As a Senior / Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, you will design and develop mechanical handling equipment for a range of manufacturing processes. You will collaborate closely with in-house engineers and Analogic’s wider cross-functional teams to ensure equipment designs meet quality, efficiency and safety standards. Given the seasonal nature of automotive work, you will also work with the Technical Applications team to develop your Applications Engineer skills, with opportunities to work across all sectors Analogic serves. Roles & Responsibilities Team Working/Leading Lead collaborative, innovative design of industrial handling equipment, including conveyors, robotic cells, AGV systems, storage systems and other specialist manufacturing equipment. Lead in-house engineers in the UK and India and/or subcontract personnel throughout the design process. Agree project schedules and priorities with the Engineering Manager / Technical Lead. Delegate tasks to the Engineering Project team. Support regular reviews and management of technical project progress.
