As a member of the Nursing Leadership team, and under the direction of the manager of nursing education, assumes lead role in the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of employee education and training. Acts as a clinical resource, teacher and facilitator for staff nurses, LNA’s and PCA’s regarding patient care and clinical practice. Collaborates with nurse leaders and clinical staff to advance nursing competency and help ensure quality bedside care. Collaborates with nursing leaders to develop and implement nursing care audits, QI, training programs and special projects. Serves as a role model, promoting evidence-based practice.\nThis position is Full-Time (PT options available).\nCopley Hospital has a variety of shifts available across Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem needs. An offer of employment may be outside of the posted range based on those factors.\nResponsibilities\nServes as a professional resource and mentor.Responds to Just in time requests for education at the bedside.\nProvides advice and guidance necessary to resolve complex patient care problems.\nEncourages and provides professional development and support for specialty certifications.\nPromotes critical thinking and problem solving skills for the staff\nUses the Nursing Process as a foundation for all education and training\n\nProvides orientation programs for all nursing programs.Nursing Orientation- RN,LNA, LPN\nPatient Care Assistant\nSitter\nNursing Assistant Training Program\n\nNursing Leader who serves as a participant, contributor and leader for nursing practice work groups, projects and committees.\nUtilizes adult learning theory and concepts, and demonstrates outcome-based education.\nMaintains flexibility with regard to hours in order to provide support to all clinical staff.\nWorks closely with IT and Informatics team to support ongoing education.\nWorks closely with Infection Prevention to support ongoing education relating to Personal Protective Equipment and IP Practices.\nPresents in-services, classes, and learning labs to clinical employees, including providers.\nIncorporates quality concepts into nursing practice.\nResearches and develops standards of practice for patient population as appropriate.\nActs as resource to clinical staff on the use of new equipment and participates in decisions related to equipment purchases.\nAct as a facilitator for difficult or complex nursing procedures.\nEducates nurses to documentation that is legal and follows Copley policy utilizing nursing informatics skills.\nMaintains and enhances clinical skills including knowledge of critical care concepts.\nQualifications\nEducation Requirements:\nAssociate Degree in Nursing\nBachelor of Science in Nursing -
