This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, learning technical products, and presenting information in an engaging, easy-to-understand way. The Field Product Specialist will travel to retail locations and industry events to provide hands-on product demonstrations and training, and will bring field insights back to the business to support product improvements. This position is regionally based and will report to the President of Building Wire. Location: We are hiring multiple Field Product Specialists. Ideal candidates will be based in or near one of our target markets: Atlanta, GA, or Texas.\nWHAT we need from you.\nLearn Copperweld products, applications, installation methods, specifications, and industry standards to become a trusted product resource in the field.\nConduct product training and hands-on demonstrations for retail associates, contractors, and customers, including key retail partners.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with retail partner teams at every level, including store associates, store leadership, and sales teams, to become the go-to Copperweld resource in each location.\nPlan and host in-store training events, such as Lunch & Learns, in partnership with retail associates to educate their contractor and electrician customers on Copperweld products.\nFollow up on open quotes and sales opportunities to help convert them into orders.\nClearly communicate technical product information, proper installation, and key product advantages to audiences with varying levels of experience.\nRepresent Copperweld professionally at customer locations, training events, trade shows, and industry events.\nPartner with Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional teams to support new product introductions, field programs, and customer education initiatives.\nGather customer feedback and market observations, and provide recommendations to internal teams to support product improvements and new product development.\nDevelop and improve training materials and presentations, and maintain product information, samples, and demonstration equipment.\nManage a regular travel schedule across assigned markets and store locations.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWHAT you need to possess.\nBachelor's or Associate degree in Business, Engineering Technology, Construction, Industrial Technology, Communications, or a related field preferred.\nExperience in retail, customer service, construction, electrical, manufacturing, or a technical field preferred.\nStrong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to speak in front of individuals and groups.\nAbility to learn technical products quickly and explain them in a practical, easy-to-understand way.\nComfortable delivering hands-on demonstrations and engaging with customers, contractors, and retail associates in a field environment.\nStrong relationship-building and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.\nAbility to collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, and other internal teams.\nSelf-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage a travel schedule independently and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams).\nResidence near a major commercial airport is required due to the position’s frequent travel schedule.\nWillingness to travel approximately 75%, including overnight travel.\nWork Environment / Physical Demands\nWork is performed in a combination of office, retail store, and trade show environments.\nFrequent travel by vehicle and air travel, including overnight stays.\nPhysical Demands: standing and walking for extended periods, reaching, bending, and grasping during demonstrations.
