The ideal candidate will work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams to implement practical AI-driven manufacturing solutions that deliver measurable business value.\nWHAT we need you to do.\nLead AI-enabled manufacturing optimization initiatives across Copperweld production facilities.\nSupport and advance machine analytics initiatives including Pocket Watch, Oden, and related manufacturing intelligence projects.\nDevelop machine monitoring dashboards and automated operational alerts.\nAnalyze machine, downtime, scrap, and production data to identify process improvement opportunities.\nSupport predictive maintenance initiatives through machine data analysis and failure pattern detection.\nAssist in improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), throughput, uptime, and quality performance.\nDevelop automated troubleshooting and process guidance tools for manufacturing operations.\nCollaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimize machine settings, maintenance scheduling, and production performance.\nSupport IoT and manufacturing data collection initiatives across plant operations.\nAssist in developing operational KPIs and standardized manufacturing analytics.\nTravel between Copperweld manufacturing facilities as needed to support operational initiatives and project implementation.\nWHAT you need to possess.\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field required.\n5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, industrial analytics, or related operational roles preferred.\nExperience working in industrial or manufacturing environments required.\nFamiliarity with manufacturing systems, machine data, IoT technologies, and operational analytics preferred.\nProven success leveraging AI, machine data, automation, or advanced analytics to improve manufacturing performance, reliability, quality, or operational efficiency.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable operational improvements.\nExperience with SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar analytics/reporting tools preferred.\nKnowledge of OEE, downtime analysis, Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement principles preferred.\nStrong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.\nHighly collaborative, action-oriented, and results-driven mindset.\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial equipment.\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods of time.\nAbility to work safely around heavy machinery and production equipment.\nMust be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.\nAbility to travel between Copperweld manufacturing facilities as needed.\nWHY Copperweld?\nSTRONG Business Outlook\nComprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision Plans\nPAID Time off & Holidays\n401k matching\nLife and Disability Insurance\n Employer Assistance Program\nCopperweld is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
