This role drives program management activities by coordinating tasks, tracking deliverables, and maintaining high-quality documentation to support performance and decision making. Serving as a key liaison across corporate teams, program staff, and government stakeholders, the specialist ensures alignment with deadlines, requirements, and reporting expectations. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position is required to report onsite to an Axle corporate office in Rockville, MD or Frederick, MD 5 days/week.\n Key Responsibilities\nServe as a primary point of contact for program staffand employees.\n\nCoordinate project activities to align with deliverables, timelines, and contract requirements.\n\nTrack action items, support reporting, and assist leadership with program execution\n\nDevelop, maintain, and update accurate and timely program documentation, technical documentation, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\n\nAct as a liaison with HR on, onboarding, benefits and personnel-related matters.\n\nConduct new employee orientations and support onboarding activities.\n\nCoordinate annual performance review processes, including scheduling, tracking, and documentation.\n\nReview, approve, and track accurate employee timesheets.\n\nCoordinate employee travel and training requests, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.\n\n Qualifications\n2-5 years of experience in project management, administration, and employee relations.\n\nExceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\nDemonstrated ability to interface professionally with government clients, managers, and staff at all levels.\n\nProactive, self-motivated, and able to anticipate program and business unit needs.\n\nExcellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.\n\nStrong organizational and multitasking capabilities.\n\nFamiliarity with or exposure to artificial intelligence (AI) tools and data-driven technologies is a plus\n\nInterest in leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve workflows and program efficiency\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).\n\nPrior experience supporting government contracts is preferred but not required.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field required.\n\nPMP preferred \n\nThe diversity of Axle’s employees is a tremendous asset.
