You’ll work alongside experienced Defence and engineering professionals supporting some of Australia’s most important and complex capability challenges. \nThis is an opportunity to contribute to high-assurance projects supporting Australia’s future naval nuclear capability, applying your engineering skills while developing your understanding of nuclear governance, safety and assurance principles. \nYou will be responsible for: \nSupporting the delivery of engineering, advisory and assurance activities across complex Defence projects \nApplying engineering principles to analyse problems, develop solutions and support informed decision-making \nContributing to technical documentation, analysis, reviews and project deliverables \nWorking collaboratively with engineers, technical specialists, Defence stakeholders and industry partners \nBuilding your understanding of nuclear capability, including safety, assurance and regulatory considerations \nOur Ideal Candidate: \nYou’re an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and wants to contribute to nationally significant Defence capability. You bring a strong technical foundation, curiosity and a willingness to learn in a highly specialised environment. \nYou will bring: \nAn undergraduate degree in engineering (required) \nExperience working in engineering roles, ideally within Defence, maritime, infrastructure or another high-assurance environment \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply engineering principles to complex challenges \nExposure to, or a genuine interest in, nuclear capability, nuclear safety, assurance or naval capability \nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team \nA proactive mindset and willingness to learn from experienced technical specialists \nHaving these other abilities would also be awesome (but not mandatory): \nNuclear experience or qualifications, including NSQEP credentials \nExperience supporting naval, submarine, maritime or other complex Defence programs \nFamiliarity with engineering assurance, systems engineering, safety management or regulatory environments \nAs we are a Defence consultancy, you must also have the ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA security clearance. \nWhy join Coras?\nCoras prides itself on being a management consultancy with a difference.
