If you are passionate about making a difference and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you !\nResponsibilities\nScope Management: Manages the district's programming scope and all other requirements, necessary to design and build educational facilities.\nSchedule Management: Manages all project schedule needs and adjustments throughout the life cycle of the project.\nBudget Management: Develops and manages project budgets, ensuring projects stay within financial guidelines. \nRisk Management: Identifies and mitigates potential risks to ensure smooth project execution.\nContract Management: Reviews and negotiates terms of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.\nQuality Assurance: Ensures that all construction work-in-place meets district's quality standards and project plans & specifications.\nTeam Coordination: Coordinates with architects, engineers, laboratory inspections, and other construction specialists to ensure project requirements are met.\nSafety Oversight: Implements and enforces district's safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment. \nManages and is responsible for day-to-day owner's representative processes of the construction and closeout phases of the assigned project valued at $60M construction value. This includes tracking and responding to all RFIs, Submittal & Shop Drawing approvals, change management process, inspection coordination, schedule management, pay application management, and coordination and approval from all relevant Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).\nManages all financial, reporting, communications, operations, coordination, and general administrative needs of the assigned projects.\nQualifications\n15 years’ experience in Educational, DSA, Commercial, Healthcare, or Public Works projects.\nConstruction Management, Engineering or Architectural background with strong emphasis in the construction phase of projects.\nCapable of managing projects from inception to construction to closeout.\nMust be flexible and adaptable to changes in the bond program needs.\nMust have outstanding negotiations, communication, and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).\nExperience with field construction management and changes in the work.\nProficiency in Construction Management PMIS software like Procore or similar.\n\nKnowledge of Building Codes and Regulations to ensure compliance with all safety and legal standards\n\nStrong Organizational Skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously\n\nStrong problem-solving skills to quickly address and resolve issues that arise during construction.\n\nPreferred:\nBachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field preferred\nCertifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly desirable.\nLong Beach experience preferred\nHigher-Education, DSA, or DSA-equivalent experience preferred.\nSalary Range: $170,000 to $190,000 per year.\nLocation: Long Beach, California.\nWork Environment: 100% Onsite\nOur Company\nCordoba Corporation: Building Excellence in Infrastructure\nCordoba Corporation, a nationally recognized civil engineering, construction management, program management, and planning firm, has a proven track record of success.
