The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with Operations, Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and Logistics to optimize procurement performance while maintaining compliance with FDA and ISO 13485 requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nStrategic Sourcing\nDevelop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.\nSource and qualify suppliers for critical raw materials, biological reagents, chemicals, consumables, packaging materials, and manufacturing components.\nIdentify alternative suppliers and develop dual-source strategies to mitigate supply risks.\nMonitor supplier markets, industry trends, and pricing to improve sourcing decisions.\nSupplier Relationship Management\nEstablish and maintain strong partnerships with domestic and international suppliers.\nLead supplier selection, qualification, performance evaluations, and business reviews.\nCollaborate with Quality and Regulatory teams on supplier audits and corrective actions.\nDrive continuous supplier performance improvement in quality, delivery, service, and cost.\nProcurement Operations\nManage purchasing activities to ensure timely delivery of materials supporting manufacturing and R&D.\nNegotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and service agreements.\nMonitor inventory levels and collaborate with planning teams to maintain optimal stock levels.\nResolve supply disruptions and develop contingency plans for critical materials.\nCost Management\nIdentify and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or regulatory compliance.\nAnalyze spend data and procurement metrics to improve purchasing efficiency.\nSupport annual budgeting and forecasting activities.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Manufacturing, R&D, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Finance to support new product introductions and product lifecycle management.\nSupport supplier qualification and material validation for new products.\nParticipate in design transfer and commercialization projects.\nCompliance & Documentation\nEnsure procurement activities comply with FDA Quality System Regulation (21 CFR Part 820), ISO 13485, company policies, and applicable regulations.\nMaintain procurement documentation, supplier records, contracts, and purchasing procedures.\nSupport internal and external quality audits.\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.\n5+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience, with at least 3 years in the medical device, diagnostics, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry.\nExperience negotiating supplier agreements and managing supplier relationships.\nStrong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nProficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills.\nPreferred\nFluent in both Chinese and English\nExperience in the In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) industry.\nFamiliarity with biological reagents, antibodies, antigens, enzymes, chemicals, plastics, instrumentation components, or laboratory consumables.\nKnowledge of FDA regulations, ISO 13485, GMP, and supplier quality management.\nExperience with global sourcing and international suppliers.\nAPICS (ASCM), CPSM, or CPM certification is a plus.\nAbility to travel up to 20% as needed.\nKey Competencies\nStrategic Sourcing\nSupplier Relationship Management\nContract Negotiation\nCost Reduction & Spend Analysis\nRisk Management\nSupply Chain Planning\nCross-Functional Leadership\nProject Management\nData Analysis & Decision Making\nContinuous Improvement\nSuccess Metrics\nSupplier On-Time Delivery (OTD)\nCost Savings Achievement\nSupplier Quality Performance\nInventory Optimization\nProcurement Lead Time\nSupplier Risk Reduction\nMaterial Availability for Production\nProcurement Process Efficiency\nBenefits\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive salary and annual performance bonus\nComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance\n401(k) with company match\nPaid Time Off (PTO) and company holidays\nProfessional development and career growth opportunities\nCollaborative and mission-driven work environment\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
