The role involves performing laboratory testing on geological, fluid, and gas samples, operating and maintaining specialised equipment, reviewing and reporting data, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. The position contributes to the efficient operation of the laboratory, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and works collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to deliver high-quality results for the Company and its clients.\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nPerform laboratory testing on geological, fluid, and gas samples in accordance with documented procedures, quality standards, and client requirements.\nConduct flow and relative permeability testing, including the analysis of conventional core properties such as porosity and permeability, liquid permeability testing, wettability restoration, in-situ saturation monitoring, and wettability analysis using Amott and USBM methods.\nOperate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation in accordance with established procedures and industry standards.\nAccurately record, analyse, review, and report test results, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance with required specifications.\nComplete all laboratory worksheets, data forms, records, reports, and administrative documentation accurately and within required timescales.\nMaintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment, ensuring laboratory housekeeping standards are consistently met.\nAdhere to company quality, health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including ISO Quality Management Systems and QA/QC procedures.\nIdentify, report, and where appropriate intervene to prevent unsafe, environmentally irresponsible, or non-compliant practices.\nReport non-conformances and participate in corrective and preventive action processes to support continuous improvement.\nCollaborate with colleagues and other departments to ensure efficient operations, effective communication, and consistency of data and service delivery.\nSupport the training and development of colleagues and contribute to the sharing of technical knowledge and best practices.\nRespect and protect Company and client confidentiality at all times.\nTravel domestically or internationally, including offshore assignments, as required to support operational needs.\nPerform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to operational excellence.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nRelevant laboratory experience, including exposure to analytical testing and data processing.\nEducated to a minimum HNC or equivalent in a science subject, or relevant experience.\nDegree in physical science related subject (desirable)\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES\nExcellent analytical & problem-solving skills.\nStrong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.\nSkilled in setting and managing priorities to meet tight deadlines.\nProvide commitment to ongoing improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance.\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications.\nCOMPETENCIES\nTechnical Expertise: Applies knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and equipment to deliver accurate and timely analytical results in line with quality and safety standards.\nAttention to Detail: Demonstrates a high level of accuracy in following procedures and documenting results.
