The Trainee will also learn and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nResponsible for entry-level measurement and sampling activities\nResponsible for personal safety\nMaintain written records (tally books) of activities per company guidelines\nResponsible for learning and completing entry-level field reports\nProvide scheduler, assistant manager, and/or manager with timely information concerning onsite problems\nResponsible for completing job assignments in accordance with Saybolt and customer guidelines and instructions\nAbility to work simple transfer by the end of company’s probation period (i.e. barges, tank to tank transfers, sampling, etc.)\nGain knowledge of basic laboratory procedures through cross training in the laboratory\nQUALIFICATIONS\nA high school diploma or equivalent (general education degree). \nNo prior training required. \nOne year of work experience with a service-oriented organization is preferred.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES\nExhibit professional appearance and customer service orientation\nAbility to communicate and work productively with multiple stakeholders\nAbility to work independently\nOTHER INFORMATION (US ONLY)\nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION\nInspectors must have a vehicle in good, safe operating condition that can be used on the job for both personal and sample transportation in all ambient weather conditions. Vehicles used for sample transportation must be able to accommodate the secondary sample containers issued for sample transportation. \nInspectors are required to maintain the proper levels of automobile liability insurance and meet all state requirements on vehicles used for Saybolt assignments. \nInspectors must also maintain a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record. \nLocal travel and occasional out-of-town assignments are required.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
