Visit coreandmain.com to learn more.\nJob Summary\nResponsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment and supplies from vendors as well as evaluating vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers.\nMajor Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities\nReview procurement queue and analyze items for potential purchases.\nEnsure material is placed on order. Follow up with vendors, sales and customer to confirm delivery, specifications, and pricing.\nCoordinate flow of material from vendor to customer in a timely fashion.\nFollow up on any order changes, cancellations, process returns and cancellations fees\nEvaluate daily purchasing reports, prioritize purchase orders by critical need; ensure orders meet the optimal levels to maximize profit and sales.\nMaintain product line purchasing parameters to ensure daily purchasing reports are accurate as calculated by computerized inventory system.\nInitiate and verify price changes in the computer inventory system.\nMonitor open orders and maintain projected delivery dates updated. \nNature and Scope\nWorks in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems. Demonstrates skill in data analysis, techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in routine research/data.\nNature of work requires general supervision; exercises judgment. May be paired with a mentor. Work typically involves regular process checks or review of output by a coworker and/or supervisor.\nMay provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel. \nWork Environment\nMost of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.\nLocated in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.\nTypically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. \nMinimum Qualifications\nMust be a minimum of 18 years of age or older\nMust pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable \nEducation and Experience\nTypically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Certification may be required in some areas.
