Visit coreandmain.com to learn more.\nJob Summary\nResponsible for specialized construction of segmental retaining wall systems.\nMajor Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities\nUnloads materials on site that are to be used in the construction of retaining walls.\nPlacing, raking, and shoveling stone to build a level footer for placing segmental block.\nHooking chains, stacking, straightening, leveling, and shimming block to build a wall level wall consistent with the construction documents.\nIdentify incorrect/short shipped items and immediately notify supervisor.\nOperate skid-steer or forklift to transport and place materials where designated by supervisor.\nPlace all materials necessary during construction of the retaining wall system such as block, goe-grid, fabric, drainage pipe, etc.\nMaintain an understanding of all the products that are used on a retaining wall project, and how to use them.\nMaintains condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.). Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.\nConfirm payroll hours with direct supervisor before the end of each payroll period to confirm accuracy.\nPerform basic equipment maintenance such as changing oil, greasing fittings, changing filters, changing tracks, etc.\nMinimum Qualifications\nMust be a minimum of 18 years of age or older\nMust pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable\nEducation And Experience\nHS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.\nSpecialized skills training/certification may be required.\nGenerally, 2 - 5 years of experience in area of responsibility.\nWork Environment\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements including, but not limited to, using a 10-key or calculator, bending or squatting.\nOutdoor environment with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort.\nPreferred Qualifications\nKnowledge of machines and tools.\nTime management and organization skills.\nAbility to understand written material and basic math skills.\nInterpersonal and communication skills.\nAbility to work with others in a group, cooperate with others, offer to help when needed, and foster a team climate within the group where members are committed to a common goal.\nCore & Main is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
