Develop and implement sales and customer retention programs to optimize sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction. Plan, forecast and report on sales and competitive pricing activities and tactics. Promote market and technology research. This position requires operation of a Company Vehicle or a Personal Vehicle and such operation is done consistently more than 20% of the average work week. If selected for this position, Core & Main will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. A requirement of this position is an acceptable MVR report.\nMajor Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities\nManages and develops direct and indirect reports, including inside sales, estimators, and special product sales.\nWorks with the residential/commercial developers to ascertain information on housing starts and possible partnerships. Communicates with local client/local authorities to discuss needs for project requirements.\nCommunicates and negotiates special pricing and product availability with top vendors in district.\nPlans and implements district advertising and promotional strategy and activities.\nTrains and assists management on Point of Sales system procedures including Product Families, Quick\nSales Matrix, Product keywords, and Product Grouping for quotations. - Analyzes sales and operating reports for opportunities and establishes initiatives to address deficiencies.\nNature and Scope\nSolutions require analysis and investigation.\nAchieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles and practical experience.\nManages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff. \nWork Environment\nMost of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.\nLocated in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.\nTypically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time. \nMinimum Qualifications\nMust be a minimum of 18 years of age or older\nMust pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable \nEducation and Experience\nTypically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 7+ years experience in related field. May require certification.
