Apply today and make an impact at Core Scientific.\nThe Job\nThe Critical Facilities Manager (CFM)isresponsibleforall aspects of data center management and operations throughout the year. They willfoster an unwavering attitude and commitment to safety and reliability within the Data Center as they build a team of Engineers, Technicians, and Assistant Managers, along with outside contractors, capable of achieving100% availability.\nResponsibilities\nManage the complete physical assetoftheoperation andmaintenance of the critical and noncritical data center infrastructure equipment and systems.\n\nBuild a staff of qualified technicians andassistantmanagers with the necessary skill sets to delivertotalavailability (100% uptime)tocustomers.\n\nManage power and cooling capacity andmonitorenvironmental conditions within thedatahalls.\n\nResolve all electrical, mechanical,andfireprotectionsystem issues in the data center while minimizing risksand business impacts;communicateproblemsto management and customerspromptly.\n\nManage the customer relationship and act as the single point-of-contact for all facility-related issues, including, but not limited to,schedules, new business, projects, budgets,expansion,and staffing.\n\nManage theonboardingofthenew site by working closely with the construction and operations teams to ensure a seamless transition from construction to operations,with a goal of 100% compliance with all standards, policies, and lease expectations.\n\nManage day-to-day facilitiessupportstaff, including coaching and development programs.\n\nOversee the development and accuracy of site-level operating procedures and other documentation.\n\nManage oversight from preventive maintenance inspections andguidehow to address issues.\n\nDetermineactionable items to addressqualitycontrol review results.\n\nImplement and develop standards for using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage all planned and unplanned data center work.\n\nAudit all CMMS databases for accuracy and completeness, produce reports asrequiredat customer request, control system access,and user credentials.\n\nCustomize planned maintenance procedures and schedules to follow best practices and OEM recommendations.\n\nMake space and power recommendations to the customer and manage power and cooling capacity and environmental conditions within the data halls.\n\nResponsible for working with thedirectortoidentify, document, and implement new policies and procedures as needed.\n\nEnforce strict adherence to Customer SLA parameters and Change Control activities;review and approve all system changes (set-points, thresholds, alarm-points, etc.) which couldimpactcustomer operations.\n\nWork closely with HR to identify, evaluate, and hire new employees; ensure new employees are onboardedpromptly.Identify, vet, and approve allsubcontractorswho will perform work on-site.\n\nDevelop PM contractscopes of work, negotiate contract terms and conditions, and ensure contract terms are fulfilled.\n\nFoster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study, technical school with an emphasis on mission-critical operationsorhigh-performance manufacturing,relatedmilitary operations, or equivalent experience isrequired.\n\n5+ years’ experience inmission-criticalenvironmentsisrequired.\n\n3+ years’ direct management of non-exempt shift-based employees,required.\n\nMusthave a valid driver's license.\n\nExceptional verbal and written communication skillsrequiredfor interacting with internal employees and leaders, and external contractors and customers.\n\nExceptional analytical and decision-making skillsarerequiredfor understanding and evaluating complex problems, including analyzing asituation,identifyingsolutions, and selecting the best solution.\n\nFinancial acumen,including the ability to create and understand budgets, financial analysis, and invoicing.\n\nExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\n\nAbility tooperateeffectively in high-pressure, mission-critical environments.\n\nAbilityto read and understand complex drawings, systems,and other documentation.\n\nReports To\nDirector,Data Center Engineering\nLocation\nOn Site\nTravel\nOccasional travel between data centers may berequiredas needed.\nWork Environment\nThis joboperatesin a data center, office, and shop environment. This role routinely uses standard maintenance equipment, including ladders, scissor lifts, forklifts, power tools, and voltmeters. While performing these duties, the employee will be exposed to hot and cold environments.\nPhysical Demands\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands,and lift up to50 pounds.\nPosition Type/ Expected Hours of Work\nThis is a full-time, onsiteposition.
