Apply today and make an impact at Core Scientific.\nThe Job\nThe Journeyman, Mechanical is a skilled tradesperson who has completed an apprenticeship and is fully qualified to work independently in the mechanical trades involving one or more of the following: heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, piping, or mechanical systems. \nThe Journeyman will be responsible for performing journey-level mechanical duties in the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of gasoline, diesel, battery, and electric equipment. \nResponsibilities\nBreak-fix of all Electro-mechanical systems (HVAC, Hydronics, Appliances, Rollup doors, dock locks, air compressors, etc.).\n\nConduct spill and leak detection system inspections and repairs as needed.\n\nHydronic rack cooling (Deschutes) maintenance and commissioning.\n\nPMs on HVAC and Hydronic systems (Pumps, Strainers, Cooling Towers, etc.).\n\nTeam scheduling and material requisition.\n\nContribute to site failure reporting (Equipment Status Log).\n\nProvide mechanical project support.\n\nClean In Place on heat exchangers.\n\nChiller tube inspections and cleaning.\n\nSite plumbing maintenance/repair.\n\nConduct eyewash stations/shower maintenance and inspections.\n\nPerform forklift maintenance.\n\nPerform gas valve preventative maintenance.\n\nFoster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nFormal vocational school training completion in the fundamentals of the specific trade is required.\n\n7+ years of increasingly responsible experience in the specific trade, required.\n\nMust have a valid driver's license.\n\nWillingness and ability to follow guidance from other staff members and management.\n\nBasic understanding of email and MS Office software is required.\n\nA positive and professional attitude is always required, with a high attention to detail.\n\nAbility to work autonomously with minimal supervision and in a team environment.\n\nExperienced in operating a variety of equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and small hand tools.\n\nPrior military or technical school training, preferred.\n\nReports To\nAssistant Manager, Critical Facilities\nLocation \nOn Site \nTravel \nMinimal travel between data centers may be required as needed. \nWork Environment\nThis job operates in a data center, office, and shop environment. This role routinely uses standard maintenance equipment, including ladders, scissor lifts, forklifts, power tools, and voltmeters. While performing these duties, the employee will be exposed to hot and cold environments. \nPhysical Demands\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and lift up to 50 pounds. \nPosition Type/ Expected Hours of Work\nThis is a full-time, onsite position.
