Apply today and make an impact at Core Scientific.\nThe Job\nTheData CenterOperationsIManagerprovides direct supervision to professional contributors and/or skilled supporttoindividual contributors.They act as a guide to site operations teams, vendors, and contractors and may become actively involved, as required, to meet operational standards, project schedules,and resolve problems.The manager creates a culture of professionalismand operational excellence, fostering a workplacewhere people love to work and build a career.\nResponsibilities\nProvide direct supervisionto the HPC Data Center Technicians, overall data center supervision,and routine operational plans.\n\nEnsures the team is fulfilling responsibilities ontimeand projects are progressing, as expected.\n\nManagepayroll, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching,and development.\n\nAssistswith testing and coordinating projects and maintenance.\n\nPlan,coordinate,budget, and implement resources to complete projects and maintenance within the datacenter.\n\nMeetstargettypically against a monthly plan.\n\nAssistswith new construction commissioning, as necessary, documenting and reporting all problems.\n\nCommunicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incident.\n\nFoster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nA bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering,a relatedfield,or equivalent experienceisrequired.\n\n5+years ofprogressively responsibledata center-relatedexperienceisrequired.\n\n1 year of supervisory/leadership experienceisrequired.\n\nMusthave a valid driver's license.\n\nStrong leadership andteam-buildingskillsarerequired.\n\nExceptional understanding of network, electrical, mechanical,and building systemsrequired.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skillsrequired.\n\nWorking knowledge of HPCcomputerequipment and network infrastructurerequired.\n\nAn advanced degree is preferred.\n\nReports To\nDirector,Data CenterOperations\nLocation\nOn Site\nTravel\nOccasional travel between data centersmay berequiredas needed.\nWork Environment\nThis joboperatesin a professional office, warehouse, and data center environment. It routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, smartphones, ladders, forklifts, and scissor lifts. While performing these duties,the employee will be exposed to hot and cold environments.\nPhysical Demands\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit,stand,walk,use hands,and lift up to50 pounds.\nPosition Type/ Expected Hours of Work\nThis is a full-time, onsite position.
