Apply today and make an impact at Core Scientific.\nThe Job\nWe're seeking a versatile, hands-on Systems Administrator to serve as the primary owner of our Identity and Access Management (IAM) program while supporting a broad range of enterprise infrastructure initiatives. This role is responsible for authentication, authorization, access governance, identity lifecycle management, and identity automation across the organization, ensuring employees have secure and reliable access to the systems they need to succeed.\nIn addition to IAM ownership, this position plays a key role in supporting endpoint management, SaaS platforms, and day-to-day IT operations. Success in this role requires a strong technical foundation, a proactive mindset, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment where priorities and challenges can vary from day to day.\nThe ideal candidate is equally comfortable designing and administering identity solutions, automating processes, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and partnering with cross-functional teams to enhance security, reliability, and the overall employee experience.\nThis position is fully onsite at our downtown Austin, Texas office.\nResponsibilities\nAdminister and optimize our Identity and Access Management stack, serving as the subject matter expert for SSO, MFA, provisioning/deprovisioning, and access governance\nOwn the Okta environment end to end: application integrations (SAML/OIDC/SCIM), workflows and automation, policy configuration, and lifecycle management\nDesign and maintain automated joiner/mover/leaver processes that keep access accurate, auditable, and secure\nManage and support endpoint fleets (macOS and Windows), including patching, configuration, and security baselines\nSupport day-to-day IT operations: SaaS administration, troubleshooting escalations, hardware provisioning, and user support when needed\nPartner with Security and Compliance teams on access reviews, audit evidence, and least-privilege initiatives\nDocument systems, processes, and runbooks so knowledge doesn't live in one person's head\nEvaluate and implement new tools and integrations that improve reliability, security, and the employee experience\nFoster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nRequired\n5+ years of hands-on systems administration experience in a professional environment\nStrong generalist skill set - comfortable across identity, endpoints, SaaS platforms, networking fundamentals, and scripting/automation\nDeep, practical Identity and Access Management experience: SSO, MFA, directory services, RBAC, and user lifecycle management\nExperience integrating applications via SAML, OIDC, and SCIM\nScripting ability (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or Python) to automate routine tasks\nStrong troubleshooting instincts and the ability to work independently across an ambiguous, varied workload\nClear written and verbal communication - you can explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders\nAbility to work on-site full-time in downtown Austin, TX\nPreferred\nOkta subject matter expertise - Okta Certified Professional or Administrator certification strongly preferred\nExperience with Okta Workflows or other identity automation tooling\nJamf Pro experience for macOS device management (nice to have)\nMicrosoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune administration experience\nFamiliarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001\nExperience supporting a hybrid macOS/Windows environment\nReports To \nDirector, IT\nLocation\nOn Site\nTravel\nMinimal travel between data centers may be required as needed.\nWork Environment\nThis job operates in a professional office environment.
