You'll own the health, security, and day-to-day administration of our AD environment - domain controllers, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and the directory structure that everything else depends on - while contributing across the broader IT environment as a versatile, hands-on administrator.\nDirectory services sit at the foundation of how our users, devices, and applications work together, so you'll partner closely with identity, security, and endpoint teams to keep the environment clean, well-governed, and moving toward modern best practices.\nThis position is fully on-site at our downtown Austin office.\nResponsibilities\nOwn day-to-day Active Directory administration: user, group, and computer object management, OU design, delegation, and directory hygiene\nDesign, maintain, and troubleshoot Group Policy across the environment, keeping GPOs consolidated, documented, and effective\nAdminister and maintain domain controllers, including replication health, FSMO roles, backups/recovery, and patching\nManage core network services tied to the directory: DNS, DHCP, and site/subnet topology\nHarden and secure the directory: tiered administration, least-privilege delegation, privileged account management, and remediation of common AD attack paths\nSupport hybrid identity, including directory synchronization to cloud identity platforms and clean attribute/data flows\nAutomate routine directory tasks and reporting with PowerShell\nSupport day-to-day IT operations across the environment: escalated troubleshooting, server and SaaS administration, and infrastructure projects as needed\nParticipate in audits and access reviews with clear evidence from the directory\nDocument architecture, processes, and runbooks so the environment is well understood and supportable\nFoster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nundefined\nQualifications\nRequired\n5+ years of hands-on systems administration experience in a professional environment\nVery strong Active Directory expertise: domain services, Group Policy, replication, trusts, sites and services, and directory security\nDeep experience managing domain controllers, DNS, and DHCP in a production environment\nStrong PowerShell skills for AD automation, reporting, and bulk operations\nSolid understanding of AD security best practices: tiered admin models, delegation, privileged access, and common attack paths (e.g., Kerberoasting, pass-the-hash)\nExperience with hybrid identity concepts and directory synchronization to cloud platforms\nBroad generalist skills across Windows Server administration, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting\nClear written and verbal communication and strong documentation habits\nAbility to work on-site full-time in downtown Austin, TX\nPreferred\nOkta administration or integration experience (SSO, MFA, lifecycle management)\nMicrosoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune administration experience\nJamf Pro experience for macOS device management\nSlack workspace administration experience\nJira Service Management (JSM) administration experience\nExposure to Workday or other HRIS platforms as an upstream identity source\nRelevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, Identity and Access Administrator)\nReports To \nDirector, IT\nLocation\nOn Site\nTravel\nMinimal travel between data centers may be required as needed.\nWork Environment\nThis job operates in a professional office environment.
