We are seeking an experienced, Sr. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our team in Seneca, SC.\nJob Summary:\nThe Senior FP&A Analyst is CORE Transformers' lead source of financial insight for the business unit. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role owns monthly financial reporting, analyzes business results and trends, and turns that analysis into clear, actionable messages for senior leadership.\nThe ideal candidate pairs strong analytical and modeling skills with the communication skills to explain what the numbers mean, why they moved, and what leadership should do about it. This is an on-site role based in Seneca, SC.\nKey Responsibilities\nFinancial Analysis of Business Results\nAnalyze monthly, quarterly, and annual business unit results, including revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and EBITDA.\nPerform variance analysis of actual results against budget, forecast, and prior periods, identifying root causes and business drivers.\nAnalyze product line, customer, and order profitability, including material, labor, and overhead cost trends in transformer manufacturing.\nTrack and analyze key performance indicators such as backlog, bookings, pricing, cost per unit, inventory levels, and working capital.\nBuild and maintain financial models to support pricing decisions, capital investments, capacity planning, and other business cases.\nMonthly Financial Reporting\nOwn preparation and delivery of the monthly financial reporting package for the business unit on an established close calendar.\nEnsure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of reported financial data, partnering with Accounting to reconcile results.\nDevelop and maintain standardized reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards.\nPrepare supporting schedules and commentary for month-end close, audits, and ad hoc requests from the CFO.\nCommunication with Senior Leadership\nPresent business results, trends, risks, and opportunities to the CFO and senior leadership in a clear, concise, and actionable format.\nTranslate complex financial data into executive-level summaries, presentations, and recommendations.\nServe as a trusted finance partner to operations, sales, and supply chain leaders, answering questions and supporting decision-making.\nPrepare materials for leadership meetings, board presentations, and business reviews as directed by the CFO.\nBudgeting, Forecasting, and Planning\nLead or support the annual budget process and periodic rolling forecasts for the business unit.\nDevelop forecast assumptions in partnership with operational leaders and monitor performance against plan.\nConduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of changes in demand, commodity costs (e.g., copper, steel), and other key variables.\nProcess Improvement and Special Projects\nIdentify and implement improvements to reporting, analysis, and close processes, including automation and system enhancements.\nSupport special projects, strategic initiatives, and ad hoc analysis as assigned by the CFO.\nRequired Qualifications and Experience\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.\n5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, or a related analytical role.\nDemonstrated experience preparing monthly financial reporting packages and performing variance analysis.\nProven ability to present financial results and recommendations to senior or executive leadership.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas.\nProficiency with PowerPoint for building executive-ready presentations.\nWorking knowledge of GAAP and core accounting principles.\nExperience with an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, or similar).\nAbility to work on-site daily at the CORE Transformers facility.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in electrical equipment, power transformers, or industrial products.\nKnowledge of cost accounting, standard costing, and inventory valuation.\nExperience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.\nFamiliarity with FP&A or planning software (e.g., Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Hyperion).\nExperience supporting a growing or private-equity-backed business.\nCORE Transformers is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
