Here is more detail on the role and what we are looking for.\nThe role\nDesign, build, and deploy AI agents that help our developers plan, write, review, test, and debug code in the CorelDRAW C++ codebase.\nPartner with developers to identify repetitive or time-consuming workflows and turn them into reliable, agent-driven automation, such as triaging build failures, generating and maintaining unit tests, and assisting with large-scale refactors and migrations.\nBuild the tooling that connects agents to our engineering environment, including MCP servers and integrations with Gerrit, Visual Studio and VS Code, our build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and issue tracking.\nDevelop context and retrieval strategies that help agents understand a large, complex C++ codebase, including its architecture, dependencies, and coding conventions.\nCreate evaluation frameworks and benchmarks to measure agent quality, reliability, and impact on developer productivity, and iterate based on the results.\nEstablish guardrails, human-in-the-loop review processes, and security practices, so agent-generated changes meet our standards for code quality and safety.\nContinue to contribute hands-on to CorelDRAW features in C++, using that work to understand where agents can help the team most.\nChampion agentic development across the team by sharing best practices, writing documentation, running demos, and coaching colleagues on working effectively with AI agents.\nParticipate in scrum meetings and peer review code in Gerrit, whether written by people or by agents.\nWhat we are looking for\nCreative, innovative, and passionate about software development and how AI is changing it.\nTeam player, motivated by technical challenges, and driven to find new ways to harness creativity and help people collaborate, connect, and achieve exceptional results.\nSignificant hands-on experience coding in modern C++ (C++17/20/23).\nDeep understanding of real-world C++ development, building production systems, writing maintainable code, and navigating large, complex codebases.\nHands-on experience building LLM-powered agents, ideally with Claude (the Claude API or Claude Agent SDK), or with comparable agent frameworks and LLM APIs.\nPractical understanding of agent design, including tool use and function calling, prompt and context engineering, multi-step planning, memory, and multi-agent orchestration.\nDaily experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, working in Visual Studio and VS Code, with a clear sense of the agents’ strengths, limitations, and failure modes.\nProficiency in Python or TypeScript for building agent tooling and integrations.\nWorking knowledge of C++ build systems and CI/CD pipelines, including Visual Studio and code review workflows in Gerrit.\nNatural at creative problem-solving, turning complex challenges into elegant solutions.\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.\nSolid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain AI concepts to developers of all experience levels and drive adoption across a team.\nStrong time management and self-management skills.\nHere are a few things that aren’t required, though they are nice to have:\nExperience building Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers or other tool integrations for LLMs.\nExperience designing evaluations for LLM-based systems, such as test harnesses, benchmarks, LLM-as-judge scoring, and regression tracking.\nFamiliarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases, and code-indexing tools such as clangd and the Language Server Protocol.\nExperience with C++ quality tooling such as clang-tidy, sanitizers, fuzzers, and static analyzers, and integrating them into automated or agent-driven workflows.\nHands-on experience with AWS, including deploying and operating agent services.\nProficiency or hands-on experience with WebAssembly(WASM) and Emscripten.\nExperience with and working knowledge of agile development practices.\nWhy Corel\nCorelDRAW Graphics Suite is an award-winning solution that powers graphic design on Windows, Mac, and the Web.\nWe have millions of users and decades of innovation under our belts.\nWe are investing in AI across the business, both in the products our users rely on and in the tools and processes our engineers use to build them.
