Prospects and analyzes business opportunities through our sales teams and market engagement. Identifies, pursues, and acquires profitable business relationships to help support and grow a product initiative. Develops leads, conducts pre-proposal visitations, and assists technical staff with proposal preparations. Helps to lead negotiations to obtain new customers or opportunities when there’s an Engineered Valve component to our offering.\nResponsible for pre bid strategies across multiple regions alongside the respective Sales Managers. Ensures the delivery of best-in-class material scope proposals and works in partnership with account and sales executives.\nMajor Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities\nDevelops training support centered around the specific product group for our Pre-Bid and Estimating support teams for treatment plant projects.\nMeets with regional sales and regional leadership regularly to establish and implement improvements and best practices.\nDetermine market opportunities for new products and services and proper alignment across the territories with the different brands of valves and said reps.\nDevelops market strategies and sales goals for vendor partners within the different pockets of our market\nProvide direction and guidance for new product line viability. Ensure timely introduction and maturation of product offerings.\nPartner and assist in the development of pricing strategies for each new product line add.\nProvide project management support or oversight where necessary\nPreferred Qualifications\n7+ years experience in direct management of estimating managers\n5+ years experience with direct management responsibilities overseeing multiple states and multiple estimating and pre-bid teams.\nCareer Level Dimensions\nTypical Training/Experience\nGenerally, 7+ years of experience in a related field.\nSolutions require analysis and investigation.\nAchieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.\nMay recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.\nLeadership\nManages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.\nEnvironmental Job Requirements\nLocated in a comfortable indoor area.\nAny unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.\nTypically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.\nMost of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about.
