Perform system maintenance to ensure efficient purchasing operations, updated information and accurate pricing.\nMajor Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities\nAnalyzes vendor consolidation for purchasing and makes recommendations.\nConducts ongoing training and consultation.\nDevelops and enforces policies and procedures.\nPerforms overall analysis of purchasing effectiveness.\nAnalyzes and resolves purchasing issues.\nManages inventory control.\nManages hiring, training, development and performance appraisals of associates. \nNature and Scope\nSolutions require analysis and investigation.\nAchieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.\nManages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff. \nWork Environment\nLocated in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.\nTypically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.\nFrequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about.
